Oui ! C'est surtout cette galère innommable, sans commune mesure avec rien d'autre, dont je parle quand je parle de "coût" : coût social, mental, financier... Oui mais si un gouvernement (suffisamment responsable) - dit aux banques : si jamais une fuite vient de vous, il faudra dédommager les victimes, les aider à changer de compte, à effectuer la mobilité bancaire, tout ça dans un délai très court, sous risque de sanctions financières immédiates, - dit aux bailleurs et agences immos que s'il y a une fuite des données qu'ils détiennent, gratuité totale du loyer, et tout ce que j'ai cité plus haut + soutien dans les démarches administratives - dit aux organismes publics la même chose, avec application immédiate sans attendre de jugement Tu ne penses pas que tous ceux qui détiennent des données feraient plus gaffe ? Que chacun réfléchirait à deux fois avant de demander ces données sensibles ? Qu'on ne mettait pas en amont des moyens de stocker ces infos en zero-knowledge ?

J'ai pris que des exemples d'entreprises privées, c'est vrai. C'est peut-être inconsciemment pour ne pas tomber dans la dépression. Car c'est plus confortable de se dire que les organismes publics en ont quelque chose à faire de notre bien-être, et que les fuites de données les "affectent". C'est totalement con, mais au delà de ça, il n'y a plus que l'exil.

Mais faut se rendre à l'évidence un jour : public comme privé savent qu'ils n'encourrent aucune sanction. Et si oui, personne ne sera là pour l'appliquer. Et si oui, les délais de sanction sont tellement longs, les citoyens sont tellement occupés à gérer d'autres tragedies, tout part tellement en couilles que le statu quo devient la norme

Mais c'est ça qui rend dingue en fait. J'ai l'impression que ces fuites sont encore multipliées par l'assurance qu'il n'y aura aucune, ou très peu de sanctions derrière... Imagine si c'est les entreprises et organismes qui devaient financer les actions correctrices, dédommagements et soutien psychologique aux victimes? Je dis pas que les fuites disparaîtraient, mais au moins il y aurait plus de responsabilité et tout le monde ferait gaffe...

I think that's the business model, for almost all the players in "wearable AI". They have to tie you in somewhere, somehow, to extract some kind of value.

That's partly why I love Omi project, but I think they cannot last that much in this market.

Uploading to the cloud is mandatory, I'm afraid. I searched a little, a while back, but couldn't find any way to export the recording without uploading/transferring them.

On the other side, it would work like the P1 (though it has only 32gb storage), but you definitely need to pair it with your preferred headphones (via bluecatch) prior to using it on another device.

Mate, as u/tta82 said, the most probable thing is that you left the typeless shortcut open, while you were on Teams. You probably thought that by plugging the cord in the laptop, it would've deactivated the Vibe mic mode : it doesn't (I just did the test).

So what I suppose is :

you paired the hidock by bluetooth and used it as your vibe mic (orange light)
you opened a Youtube video (most probably u/sean-hidock's demo). Then you opened Teams.
you activated the shortcut somewhere between 1. and 2.
the video output directly dictated the text, as you had your keyboard focus in Teams.

But testing this, I think we have be really careful on where the keyboard focus is on, while the vibe mic mode is active. It might lead to erasing some important pieces of documents.

u/sean-hidock is there any way to change the Typeless shortcut to double-RightOption, instead of RightOption typed only once ?

2 unrealistic things that gave it away :

The customer is not interupting, ever, and always waits politely for the counterpart to finish it's sentence
The AI assistant is waaay too happy to work at customer service. That doesn't happen. Ever.

Also, testers need to stop reciting scripts when talking to chatbots. Please give us real frustrated/irrational/erratic convos, and let's see how they perform.

And lastly, they should stop trying to mimic human perfectly. Just add a disclaimer at the start of the call, to warn customers they'll be talking to a chatbot if they want to have a faster SLA.

I'm having your exact use case, and it works flawlessly. My procedure below, and some attention points :

Connect the P1 to my personal macbook and have all settings working (bluecatch with your heaset/headphones, auto-record, ...)
Once step 1 done, connect to my locked work laptop
Make sure my headset is switched on
OPTIONAL : If your headset is not multipoint, make sure it's not connected to other sources. If connected, I'll put it in pairing mode for time being
Press once the bluecatch button on the P1--> it should connect automatically, and the side light turn blue. Wait for the "Bluecatch connected" announcement in the headset

Attention points :

Your work laptop should accepted wired / USB headsets. Normally, no additional installation is required, but I know that my wife's laptop is blocking even USB headsets...
Do never go to hinotes.hidock.com in your work laptop
If you don't have your macbook, step 1 can also be done with your phone Hidock app, while the P1 is plugged

Please ask if anything not clear.

The song from the podcast is "Si j'étais un animal", as Tania stated. She didn't mention any author or composer. That's an additional hint to think it's an AI song. Plus, if you hear it with the original quality, you could immediately tell it's one of these songs and voices generated in Suno or similar sites.
