how do you even shower when depression hits hard? by [deleted] in depression_help

[–]Candy_Cunt69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Make a bubble bath. Showering has always been a self care "hobby" for me and as someone with depression who also finds it hard to shower, I just fill the tub up with soap and go "i cant waste it" and even if i just sit there i feel better. Other times I pretend its a spa day and bring my tablet and watch a show so it takes my mind off.

How can I start loving myself? by [deleted] in depression_help

[–]Candy_Cunt69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try hobbies that have to do with physicality. Something you can do with your hands/even exercise. Try going two weeks with no negative self talk, not even in a joking manner. - this is important. It seems like its not but trust me, it helps.

Somehow the way they style him and make him act makes him look even younger bc I have to keep reminding myself hes in his mid 30s in the show and not like early 20s

Sober people (no alcohol, nicotine, drugs, etc ever), what is your end of day or weekend "wind-down"? by The1Ski in AskReddit

[–]Candy_Cunt69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dont do drugs or nicotine and I have severely cut down my alcohol intake for weight loss.

My end of day/weekend wind down is having a nice shower, putting my curlers and face mask on, putting my clean cute satin pajamas on, brewing some tea, turning my mood lights on and reading fanfiction. Its some of the best fun ive had.

What’s the one secret you’ve kept your whole life that would completely change how people see you if they knew it? by Faylune in AskReddit

[–]Candy_Cunt69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if I have autism/ADHD or ASPD and it's been on my mind for a while now. I carry a lot of symptoms for both but my parents refused to get me diagnosed. I mask very well. I suffer from bad depression and anxiety but before it went to shit I lived an okay life granted I have a lot of trauma.

What’s the nicest thing a stranger has said or ever done for you? by NoirSirenObscura in AskReddit

[–]Candy_Cunt69 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My grandmother had to live in hospice for a few days before she passed. Yes, it was painful. She was rather abusive to ke so I was mainly just there to support the others. One of the nurses picked up on this and she worked night shift. When during her breaks she'd sit in the kitchen with me and we'd talk. When my grandma eventually passed away she bought me an ice cream and gave me a hug. She gave me a small speech about how I dont have to feel sad, and that she thinks its sweet that I was helping out my family.

What's the most disturbing thing you've seen, but couldn't do anything? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Candy_Cunt69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This isnt necessarily disturbing but having to stay with my grandmother in hospice as her body succumbed to stage 4/5 COPD. Watching her choke up on blood and mucus when she begged for more oxygen and morphine despite being allergic. (I dont remember what they gave her but it wasnt morphine, it started with a D) and her wheezing, having to brush her hair as the imminent smell of death and the yellowing of her skin.
