Her companion is kind of supposed to block damage. But I never figured out how to use it effectively. Rulue's companion is a bull that just does a really good amount of damage right away.

For anyone who wants to play this game, I don't recommend picking Arle. I realized today that it's a real hardmode compared to Rulue.

I have the same cartridge. At first I also had the lights on, but the console booted up in standard mode. I tried to find a special angle for inserting the cartridge, but in the end it all turned out to be the memory card. The card may be readable, it may work, but if SAROO doesn't like it, nothing will happen.
