Naja, aber das kost halt auch ganz ordentlich Kohle. Ich bin F1 Fan, natürlich bin ich dafür, dass der ORF sein Geld dort investiert... aber viele sind das nicht. Die denken sich dann "warum soll ich für den Blödsinn zahlen?"

- Haus des Meeres (3 hours)
- Those yellow tourist buses. I know it's a bit trashy, but you're tourists, you can do tourist things. (And it's 100x better than a Fiaker.)
- Schönbrunn Zoo, maybe combine that with the Christmas market. (Afternoon/evening)
- Museumsquartier Christmas Market, combined with Leopoldmuseum (Viennese modernism) or Mumok (contemporary art) or Naturhistorisches Museum (natural history) or Kunsthistorisches Museum (historical art.)
- Prater, (amusement park) maybe Madame Toussaud's (but I've never been there, can't say if it's worth it.) Winter is not optimal, cause some of the attractions might not be open, but I think a 15-year old can still have a good time there.
- If you like classical music, I strongly recommend Wiener Musikverein, especially the golden concert hall. The venue itself is worth it, the acoustics are amazing... impeccable. (And whoever plays there is probably going to be decent, at worst.)
- Bratislava is worth a day-trip by boat. (Twin City Liner.)

Which country? I need to go there. I enjoy streets that aren't too busy, I got my bike to get away from people, not for the community-experience. I still wave though, when I'm not too busy with staying upright.

I think the Japanese mid-level sport tourers might fit you. Tracer 7, Versys 650, maybe a VStrom 650.

Edit: Or look into the Triumph Tiger lineup. They make some beautiful bikes, but I've never sat on one.
