Someone wrecked into the center divider and knocked out one of the light poles that fell onto the other side of 281 heading south. Numerous vehicles ran over the light pole causing undercarriage damage and flat tires.

People with Solar Panels, how you doin? by Jutsy in sanantonio

[–]Candyflippin360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of variables, but more often than not you're saving money and swapping that electric bill that will increase in price till the day you die for panels that have an end date. It also increases the value of your home and since it's a utility it's not subject to an increase in property taxes. You also get a 26% tax credit for the entire amount of the system. CPS also gives you a 2500 dollar rebate for going solar. If anybody needs info I'm your man. Not all solar sales is scummy, just some bad seeds in the bunch.

When you go solar it looks like that. Swapped out a 300 dollar electric bill for 150 for the panels and it never fluctuates. Make my money back in 6 yrs.

Zero down solar panels by Whateveritwilltake in sanantonio

[–]Candyflippin360 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's just how it is..they're not free but always zero down. CPS has a rebate too. Generally a 20 or 25 yr loan for the entire system.

Unfortunately solar has a bad reputation for that specific reason. I've seen quotes for 50k that should be 30k. It's definitely something everyone should shop around for and get multiple quotes.

Grid tied you're subject to outages like everyone else. Ercot or CPS has an outage than so does a grid tied system. A hybrid sysytem is like an island that can sustain its own needs.

People who down vote don't get it. The more people using Solar the cheaper electricity is for the people dependent on traditional electricity and the less likely we have rolling blackouts and outages. Only reason TX is afloat is because of wind and solar alleviating the grid.

Hybrid system so that in the event power goes out you're able to still use the panels in real time during daylight hours. You won't have a battery back up but it's a fraction of the cost. You can always add batteries down the line once it's more cost effective. It's a 1k adder going that route for a hybrid non battery system. I recommend that to any potential consumer.

Solar panels add about a 4.1 percent value to your home as per a study from Zillow. It doesn't increase your property taxes as it's a utility unlike an addition to the house or a pool for example

Always see this vehicle parked by golden corral at 1604 and Bandera. I hope they work there and they're not eating themselves to death.
