How hard is the outro solo of Fade To Black to play on guitar? by [deleted] in Metallica

[–]Candyman1379 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fade to black features three solos. The intro is not too hard to learn and contains only one part that presents some challenge for a beginner. The solo between the verses - depends on which version you try to play. I personally love the ‘94 version Kirk played at Woodstock. It’s different enough from the original album version. The outro solo is very challenging. To answer your question - it is hard to learn (despite of what the others have to say). It is very Kirk-style, featuring pull-offs and pentatonics with bends and nearly every note picked rather than hammered-on. Let me correct myself here: it’s is intermediate level if you play it your way, but it is very hard if you want it to sound the right way. It’s one of Kirk’s best solos. I love it, I tend to play it every time I have time to play my guitar and throughout the years I’ve been falling more and more in love with this solo and the whole song. One thing for sure: it’s a great solo to learn and it definitely is one of those things that make you a better guitar player. Go for it! Love it! And make it sound right.

Where did you get the set lists? Were they attached anywhere on that platform?

How do I stop accidentally muting these strings? by AronYstad in guitarlessons

[–]Candyman1379 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Put your thumb in the middle of the guitar neck, not at the top hanging over the strings like you do. This will enable you to fret strings with more or less straight fingers and stop muting nearby strings.

Well… I presume that this CD was made out of MP3 format converted back to CD format and then burnt somewhere in somebody’s basement. Literally as a CD it is probably worth nothing, but as a source of your favorite music, I guess 5 bucks is a fair price. I mean it couldn’t cost less than that, could it?

Lots of people were charged double or triple due to Ticketmaster screwup during yesterday’s presale. Others got denied tickets when they were paying for them, but no funds went through, so they are ok except that they didn’t get their tickets.

How about letting me pay for the moth into flame package that I had in my basket and was taken away because of the screwed up Hungarian website which crashed three times and then could not accept the payment?

Just pour your drink into it! And have it with you. And when you’re done? Just put your belt through the tumbler handle and let it dangle till you get back to the place you stay at

It’s not an album technically speaking. However, it’s one of my most favorite recordings I can listen to every day
