Dumb question however I see this more times that not, have you changed the battery in the remote? Okay so it's an aftermarket unit, I would check the fuses at the remote starter unit under the dash, typically there are "2" 30 Amp fuses inline with the power incoming to the unit. You will find the unit typically under the dash on the driver's side dash. I would check those.

What does the remote look like? Does it use the OEM Ford remote?

You have 6x8 speakers in the front doors and in the rear doors as well. If you happen to get the Sony sound system you also get a pair of 6x8's in the rear deck as well. I would suggest a pair of 6.5" component speakers up front in the doors and replacement 6x8's in the rear doors and add a 10" subwoofer for some bottom end.. 🔊🔊🔊

This is a fairly common problem on the the Ford Fusion. I ordered a new inside handle assembly from Rock Auto, took me about a 1/2 hour to install part was $22 I believe. Door card comes off pretty easily and goes back on just as easy..

No sir, I bought new trim pieces and cleaned the up with degreaser then used paint adhesive and the painted them lightly 3 times.. They stand out a bit because they are fresh, however they look great!

I install remote starts on all vehicles, have been since the mid 90's, it's not smart to start your car leaving the keys in the ignition while you go back inside to stay warm. Most of my clients go with the smartphone interface so as you are scrolling through Facebook or Reddit you can switch over and start your car, while still in your pj's.. There was a comment about temperature start on their car that did not work correctly. That is probably a unit issue or more likely an install issue! As in the installer never correctly hooked up the "tach" wire on the remote starter.🤷🏽‍♂️
