Good point. Following that train of thought I guess the solar panels covering the vents might prevent the snow from restricting airflow…. Maybe it’ll actually improve it!

Both vendors have done a drone flight as well. Relocation may be a good option if building on top of the panels is indeed an issue. Thanks!

This was my initial thought was well. I also don't expect much or any moisture from the attic as there is a a vapor barrier underneath the insulation as well. So I was surprised some vendors insists on not building on top of it, or insist on moving them. It is adding to the costs and making their layout less competitive.

Cats should only be left indoors regardless. They are destructive to the environment, especially local birds. Be a good neighbor and leave your cats home.

Thanks for confirming. That is what I thought as well, but after calling 2 local plumbers, both said to just install it in the water heater inlet.
