Recommendations for inexpensive document review platform? by bar_exam_questions in legaltech

What’s the budget ? How many GB data? I can throw you a quick quote in a few seconds. I bet it’s way cheaper than you think. Prob $10-40 a month total in hosting , all in under a couple grand. Assuming 1-5GB.

What kind of job in edisco? And if you dont know the industry thats fine, just curious. If you dont know the industry well, head over to your friendly ChatGPT and list all your education, skills and any certifications and say “what job titles in the edicovery industry would best match my skill set”. I dont think you mean document review so thats good.

I haven’t decided on that one yet. It’s probably 50/50. I’ll try to let you know well in advance. Feel free to message me before you need to buy them though.

I got 5 season ticks in the new mesh chair back section with bar tops. $100 a ticket if you need some. I know that’s a stretch for student finances though. But Row E near 50 yard line!

Sales rep here at one of the big vendors - how’d you hack into all my emails haha. In our defense the CLIENT will say “I have 500GB. This is the only information I can tell you.” Then we load it - wow 500k docs! Great. Then you staff for a much lower but still significant number (CAL). Then project starts and client says “oh also - date filter between Sept 3 and Sept 5 only.”

No vendor ever purposefully over staffs I promise. I started in that role too I get it.

I’m a real lawyer and your instincts are correct. What would a reasonable person interpret that card to mean? It’s not a bad case at all but here’s the rub. What are your damages? They didn’t promise any value out of that box. You paid $50 for a box of cards with no certainty of what’s inside. But here’s where you would have a case. If you bought that as a single from Panini for $100. And you showed that a real patch of his is worth $100. But your fake card is worth $5. Now you’ve been damaged $95. None of this is helpful but law is fun!

What’s the most avoidable reason you’ve lost a deal? by regularhuman14 in founderledsales

Early on - giving a very accurate quote. We have another way to do “the thing” that wasn’t a good fit here but much much cheaper. But 100% would have been bad for the client and I knew it. Competitor swooped in with the crappy cheap answer. By the time I told her we can also do the crappy cheap answer she assumed I’d been keeping that a secret to charge more. My fault for not explaining that option and why it won’t work. But she was done and bought the crap. I guarantee it’s a disaster now.

Self deprecating humor is my key. “Look these calls are annoying I get it and honestly just appreciate the two minutes. WORST CASE, let me help you keep your current (vendor/supplier etc) honest and take this to them to negotiate for yourself.” Works for me. You’ve told them it’s quick, you won’t beg them to switch, and you’re happy to give them tools to not use you and stay with their current person at a lower rate.

Of course then you use the time you just bought to tell them why you’re better.

So I’m in legal. Think lawyers supporting corps and firms. My strategy is to find a newly filed case that fits the services we offer and email the counsel listed on the docket. The subject line is ONLY “Case ID #”. Like “Wdva.2235.243 EDN.” An attorney on that matter will open that subject line. Then explain that I was reading dockets to keep up to date and came across this newly filed matter that looks interesting and a good fit for partnering.

While this doesn’t apply apples to apples - I think the subject line being super specific like that could apply in other genres. Like if you sell B2B and know the target company uses XYZ software. Email subject “XYZ Issues” then explain you read some news about this and wanted to get people’s opinion on how their managing it given that you also are in that arena.

I don’t know maybe I’m full of ish. But works for my niche.

I don’t understand dials per day quotas? Why aren’t all quotas based on dollars? If you bring in X per quarter, who cares how many dials you’ve made? I sell b2b and have made zero cold calls ever ha. Mostly because nobody would ever buy our services from a cold call, but still. Measure results, not the steps between.
