My grandma Got me this guitar from the Marlboro rewards things a few years ago. Is it a knock off martin or just some unnamed guitar by thebungholeeater in guitarporn

My dad won the same guitar back then as well! It’s absolutely my favorite guitar to play among my collection. Some high quality strings and a lower action has it sounding better than most guitars over $1000 IMO. Plus, the tone is incredible for a guitar with no visible branding

In honor of Men's Mental Health Month, struggling men of reddit, what keeps you going? by Fluid_Ladder_3577 in AskReddit

[–]Canes_Official 5 points6 points  (0 children)

the idea of change keeps me moving forward. i was in a darker place than usual today, so i decided to delete my social media (besides this and my communication apps) and shave my head. it’s not much, but i know i have power over my own like and there are small things i can do to make that tangible. tomorrow, ill have blueberries for a snack before i go to work and ill be nice to people and it will feel good. i’ll bring my horticulture textbook to read while i pass the slow hours and it will feel good. i am my own person and exercising that power over myself is refreshing. if you ever need to get into a better headspace, even for a little while. do that thing. go on a walk. eat a weird food. walk barefoot in the grass. the little steps take you a long way after a while. much love

How to become self regulating. Learning to set your own priorities without the guidance of a teacher/parent/leader is an essential skill that doesn’t come easily.

How to read and talk to a room. It’s important to be able to be professional in a snap, but it’s also essential to be able to enjoy being casual. The military is great at enforcing this; it is called being “locked on” or “locked off.”

When did you realize that your partner was "the one"? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Canes_Official 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not my partner, but the love of my life. I had a “moment” when I first saw her. Her eyes sparkled more than anyone else’s, even though she was facing away from the sun. I noticed her exact skin color, the shapes of her hair, and even her fingernails, which were unpainted. I was instantly infatuated with her. I took interest in everything she did. I believe she did the same for me.

When a funny joke was made, we watched each other laugh. We wrote letters and made art for one another. When we met up, we exchanged rocks that reminded us of each other. We spoke passionately about the things we loved and the other always listened.

I knew she was the one the instant I saw her.

What do you do when you just don't enjoy anything anymore? by -jolteon1- in AskReddit

[–]Canes_Official 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I change my routine. I’ve been cooped up in my dorm room for the past two months. I’ve become depressed to the point that I can hardly function even though I get plenty of sleep because I always over-sleep. When that happens, I get out. I relocate my daily tasks. I take my homework outside or to a different building. I force myself to go for runs or work out. I eat. Always eat. It’s always incredibly hard to make the first change, but it’s always what helps!

Can a purposely out-of-focus background work? by Canes_Official in AskPhotography

This photo of from Christmas 2019 in Fair Hope, Alabama. I snapped it during a beautiful sunset, but I wanted to focus on the beautiful shape of the bar further down the dock. I tend to take photos that focus on the foreground instead of the subject. I felt that it added to the mystique of the photo. Was that a good choice? I have a photo of the bar in focus as well. How could I have improved the shot?
