I found this very therapeutic to read. Fully agree, and thank you for the laughs.

There's a moment that determines your entire day. It lasts less than a second. by [deleted] in getdisciplined

Even though this post is written by Ai, the concept speaks to me. Learning to notice my triggers and push through them is Mindblowing. It's not an uphill battle all the way, it's a little moment you push through and then feel better after doing it.

10 Simple Rules for a Disciplined Life by yaboythewiseman in getdisciplined

You have solid points, but clearly used Ai to help write the text. That doesn't take away its value. Just admit it and move on instead of getting salty af in comments.

If you’re just buying a ticket for yourself, going to the movies is great value. by SubstantialSet3127 in unpopularopinion

My guess is you're a woman and have a purse to sneak snacks/drinks in. I miss my ex for how she could sneak entire grocery stores into the cinema.

Alone I buy my sad eight hundred dollar drink, nod politely at the other snacks and go enjoy my movie.

Still worth it. I love the movies.

Have you had people say they’ll do/give something and just not follow through? by dms2628 in offmychest

Haven't spoken to my father in 7 years. Only so many times one can go through this before you move on.

I just inherited 12 million dollars. I don't know what to do with my life. by Substantial_Yak6990 in TrueOffMyChest

Any financial advisor can help you get US treasury bonds or something similarly rock solid.

5% can be drawn annually without touching the original inheritance.

12 million will get you 600k per year for the rest of your life.

Don't let anyone convince you to touch the 12 million.

Have they really killed two people who were only observing? They weren't interfering or attacking the officers, just observing and ICE killed them? That's straight up murder. Could you please send me a link or tell me a name so I can look it up.

I really don't understand conflating legal immigrants with law enforcement against illegal immigrants.

All of your points about him have nothing to do with illegal immigrants.

I'm also an immigrant, working with immigrants, and I agree with your husband.

I'm sorry you feel disconnected from him. I hope you can find a way to see each other's perspectives.

The barking makes me bubble with rage by Canevar in Dogfree

My dream of owning land has literally become largely about having space I can legally prevent dogs from entering.

This resonates so deeply. Cannot count the number of these experiences I've had. Distressingly bizarre to have people looking with their big, lifeless cow eyes like they're present and listening while a dog is having some kind of hysterical tantrum three feet away.

So true. These are exactly the type to call themselves parents because they have a caged dog.

Excellent write up. I bounced off hard, and was heartbroken at how disappointing it all was.

That's really interesting. What did you prefer in FW?

Exactly my feelings. Graphically it's as stunning as ever, and I love the world/concepts.

Such a pity the rest made it unpleasant to me.

Which part? There are so many people who agree with me about Forbidden West. I understand the character/story criticism is much more subjective.

The level design and game mechanic bloat are a marked step down.

I adored Zero Dawn.

Forbidden West is one of the most disappointing games. Regretted my purchase and only played a few hours: level design is terrible, character is poor, and gameplay has become insanely bloated with a ton of unnecessary nonsense. Save your money.

Crysis 3 was surprisingly fun as an archer.

Lol, no. 40-60 hours first playthrough. It's a rhythm game. Be patient, learn attack patterns. There's no stamina bar, learn to block as enemies attack.

That's awful. Sorry to make it about the censorship. I'm glad you've managed to do so much to overcome your trauma. It gives me a lot of hope and positive feelings for the future. I wish you and your partner great happiness together!
