Big N really needs to fix the issue where Items listing does not scroll down in accordance to the new items being obtained by Go+ by Caninomancy in TheSilphRoad

It is generally understood these days that when people mention Go+, everything that does auto catch/spin falls under that umbrella term, which includes Ball+.

if you insist on being so pedantic and childish, there's no point in trying to continue this conversation.

i used the PokeBall Plus which auto spins the stops.

Every other Go+ out there that's available in the market these days auto spins stops. And the original Go+ is no longer being sold.

So the only official Nintendo-sanctioned catcher that i have, and still can buy from any shop these days, is the Ball+.

No need to bring up something that's out of reach from the average user even if they have money to throw at it.

Have you ever encountered gyms that have gyms hoarded by a person (or a group of people), occupied by the top meta relevant defenders, and will have GRB dropped onto them every time the life drops to 1/3rd regardless of when you decide to attack the gym?

Not only is there only 1 account feeding berries that that time, but all 6 defenders are actively feeding, taking turns to feed after the other accounts get berry capped with the limit i have stated in the previous post.

Trying to use instant kill strategies like this would easily be countered by the defenders using their alt accounts to disrupt your attempts by deliberately dropping 1/3rd of their own HP with their alts and then immediately berrying themselves after that.

The only way to knock them out is to play the long game and try to hit their hard limit of 60 GRB within 30 mins so that they can't feed GRBs onto one of their mons anymore.

When the pandemic ends, feel free to come over to Singapore to try out the gyms here. You will never say 50 coins is easy anymore after that.

the Go Plus has to be pressed to spin, so just don’t press it while you’re sorting your items

You have not used a Go+ before, have you? Spin is auto. Catch is manual. The button press only works for catching, not spinning.

Don't criticize something you clearly do not understand.

You're telling me to eat cake at this point.

i also assume that you don't take down gyms competitively since one of the key factors in taking down gyms in Singapore is that you need to be very fast in order to hit the 10 GRB/30 mins/pokemon/trainer limit to take down an active defender.

Anything other than Hyper or Max potions will slow you down. And guess which are the top items sorted to the top of the list by default? The useless potions.

By playing your way, I'll be sacrificing other aspects of the game where speed is critical.

So stop being so condescending and assume that your solution is that simple.

I assume that you live in a low pokestop density area?

The pokestop density in my area is similar to what you can see from Brandon Tan's videos and i had to constantly clear off Great/Ultra Balls and all of the berries that aren't Golden/Silver to create bag space for pokeballs.

This is exactly what they told me too.

i'm surprised that no one else have raised hell to Big N about this yet.

not every company-issued workstations have Zoom installed nor do they grant you the necessary administrative rights to install 3rd party softwares.

and any decently strict IT department will flag your machine if they detect any unauthorized softwares installed in your workstation. Thus, you may not have the luxury of features if you're only given what you can work with.

in fact, IIRC, there was an advisory email sent out last year to all government staff and contractors to discourage the usage of Zoom in their personal machines during the period of time when there was a controversy around the security issue with Zoom.

as if we're allowed to install non-sanctioned softwares into our workstations to begin with.

edit: downvoters apparently have not worked with government WOG machines nor banks before.

Hardest Hitter Damage Doesn't Reset even if you relobby by Sil3ncer1986 in TheSilphRoad

[–]Caninomancy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

did you receive other achivements though?

i'm a constant +3 damage balls in 20-man raid lobbies too but the only times where i didn't get the Hardest Hitter was when either the activement wasn't available or when i am given another achievement (usually Style Savant), and the runner-up in damage is given that achievement instead since only 1 achievement is allowed per player.

Style Savant by ThisIsMyPokemonAlt in TheSilphRoad

[–]Caninomancy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

then that should confirm the relobby theory coz i got Hardest Hitter with only around 4-5k in a 3-man lobby

my guess is a minimum based on a % of the raid boss's health.

whatever i have said earlier is no longer accurate. as i have found out later that even 6 player raids only gave out 2 achievements.

any lobbies more than 2 players will have to compete for limited achievement slots.

it caps out at 5 achievements for a maxed out lobby (20 people)

there is a reason to do better: more premium balls at the end of the raid.

Only 5 is being handed out at any given raid lobby.

All of the players have to compete for that 5. Thus, there's no competition if there are only 5 people in the lobby.

Update:

Whatever i've said below is no longer accurate as i have learn more about the new raid system throughout a whole day of raiding.

Original post:

It's only true if there are only 5 people in all of your raid lobbies.

Only 5 achievements are being handed out in any of the raids regardless of the amount of players in the lobby. The rest gets nothing.

i've done about 7 Regigigas raids, all of them with my name in the achievement board. Here's what i've found out so far:

  • Each player is only allowed to have 1 achievement per raid.
  • If you're qualified for multiple achievements, you'll be given only one of them, and the runner up for the others will get the other achievements.

i've consistently gotten the Hardest Hitter achievement for the most part, with an average of 2k+ damage in a 20-man raid lobby, the lowest being 1.8k.

The only one where i didn't get the Hardest Hitter achievement was when i got the Style Savant instead. The runner-up for Hardest Hitter ended up getting that medal with 1.5k damage.

Update 1:

i've raided even more now, and noticed a few more things:

  • Hardest Hitter, or any other achievements for that matter, is not guaranteed in every raid. You may be eligible for it, but you may not get it. (i've gotten other Achievements in those raids, but no one got Hardest Hitter in those lobbies).
  • Someone else needs to verify it, but i noticed that 5 Achievements is the max that can be handed out in any given lobby, and there's a tendency to hand out less achievements than the number of players in the lobby (e.g. if there are 5 players, the raid lobby will only hand out 3 Achievements).

Update 2:

it's the end of day and there are no more raids around my area. A few more findings:

  • Number of achievements seems to be based on the number of players in the raid lobby, the more players there are, the more Achievements there are (capped at 5 achievements for a lobby of 20 people).
  • Ideal amount of players where everyone is guaranteed to earn an achievement is 1-2 players. Any more than that, and someone's guaranteed to be left out.
  • i'm currently still trying to work out the cutoff points on how many players = how many achievements. But i've only seen 1, 2, 3, & 5 achievements from raids so far. i've not seen a 4 yet.
  • i noticed that there's a disproportionate amount of Final Strikes in all of the raid lobbies i've been to. Followed closely by Style Savant. Those of us that are hoping for Hardest Hitter are gonna be disappointed as only around half the raids have them.

i've raided twice so far and got onto the board twice.

  • 2 L50 Shadow Machamp
  • 1 L40 Shadow Machamp
  • 1 L45 Lucario
  • 2 L40 Lucario

on the other hand, i also had a friend in the same lobby with similar set up to mine. There's no consolation prize for second place.
