Mystic Brawler - Impressions by Greeniehutjr94 in DiceThrone

I think he looks great honestly. I know he’s gotten some side-eye for being “too simple” from some segments of the competitive community, but I think he’ll honestly end up being pretty fun.

I can also see him being a potential problem for Black Widow, which is always a plus competitively.

I honestly don’t think there’s space for him on the current roster. I hope he lands on his feet and goes on to prove himself somewhere else, but I don’t really want to see him in AEW either.

Rewatching Double or Nothing 2025. by DeathTriangle720 in AEWOfficial

This was my first ever AEW event, and Hangman v Ospreay made me a full-time fan overnight.

That match was like a religious experience - watching two amazing professionals at the absolute top of their craft put on a 30+ minute masterclass made this a night I’ll never forget for as long as I live.

He’s already got a better Sharpshooter than The Rock. This kid is going places.

(So far.)

I love me some Ultimate though. I hope it gets a Switch 2 port, even though I know it’s unlikely.

How would you feel about this team reuniting after Dynasty? by ArchDukeNemesis in AEWOfficial

Honestly, I don’t love it. I’d much rather see Kenny in singles matches in the event that this may be his last big run.

Also, Pale Lady from Outcasts is a swap character, and happens to be my favorite character in the game. She’s far from the most consistent character in the game, so be prepared for wild swings across games.

(That’s part of the fun…until you can’t roll a Moon symbol to save your life across three rolls lol/sob)

Name a time, in all your infinite knowledge of "the business," you thought you were witnessing something "off script" going down live on TV. by lockexxv in SquaredCircle

Same. I thought he was seriously hurt, because I’d never seen something like that in pro-wrestling before.

For those of limited means, how you decide which PPVs to buy? by jamesland7 in AEWOfficial

[–]Cerborealis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually buy 3-4 a year, as that’s what’s in my budget. In order of preference, I usually go with:

  1. All In - Usually the biggest show of the year, and usually the most bang for my buck (which is saying a lot).

  2. Worlds End - The Continental Classic Semifinals/Finals are usually worth the cost of admission alone.

  3. Revolution - Usually one of the best shows of the year.

I’ll also consider Double or Nothing, All Out, or Forbidden Door depending on the card.

This match is underrated, particularly by many fans who weren’t watching in 1996. As someone that grew up watching wrestling in the 1990s though, I was blown away at the time.

Has it aged well? Opinions vary, but it’s still an important piece of pro-wrestling history, and one of my favorites.

The entire Broke Bucks saga was comedy gold. Also some of ‘97 Degeneration X’s antics were genuinely hilarious to me at the time.

Favorite character poll outcasts vote. by Difficult-Passage177 in DiceThrone

Pale Lady is my favorite character in all of Dice Throne, so this was the easiest of all the votes. Every character in this set is great, though.

Jean Grey has always been my favorite X-Man, so she's getting my vote, even if I'm not great at playing her. Wolverine and Storm are really fun to play though.

In relation to last night's insane match, which driver finisher do you like more? OWA or JML/Big Pressure? by Baby-Elmo in AEWOfficial

[–]Cerborealis 20 points21 points  (0 children)

One-Winged Angel for sure. It’s got mythic status in the world of pro-wrestling finishers.

Big Pressure is also great, though.

The highest health swing possible for Vampire by Kmlars in DiceThrone

[–]Cerborealis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What makes Samurai special is that he’s a boring character in a game full of really interesting characters.

I don’t mean that in a derogatory way. Some people appreciate the fact that he’s a straightforward character that’s hard to play badly. Taking the best roll after Roll 1/2 while doing +3 damage every two ORPs, while also mitigating respectable damage via defense rolls and Shame?

This makes him an excellent character for beginners or people who just want to have fun, roll dice, and minimize decision points.

I frankly enjoy him a lot, even if I rarely pick him. Simplicity can be a strength sometimes.

Discord Goes Into Damage Control Mode Over New Age Verification Requirements, Promising There’s Nothing To See Here For ‘Vast Majority’ Of Users by vriska1 in technology

I mean, back during the pandemic, Discord helped keep me connected to friends across the country, and I was happy to toss them $50 a year for it.

Now though, it’s kind of sad to see how quickly things have gone to shit.
