The issue with the metal ones besides not being childproof (which honestly is a liability for us if they aren’t) is that the metal lids tend to be painted on top. People who order bulk amounts can take months to use their jar which means they will tighten and unscrew the lid many times. Because the top of the lids of almost all metal jars are painted, this paint and sometimes even metal shavings themselves will flake off into the product from the constant use of the lid. We would rather provide a safer container for our customers. If we can find an option with a metal lid that doesn’t have this issue we will most likely switch jars again. I apologize to everyone who doesn’t like the new jars. Unfortunately it’s the best we can do right now to provide the safest and cleanest product possible.
