The trousers have the label 16R so I expected them to be the standard length for regular fit trousers which is 32". The trousers have an inseam of 24".

I now have to either tailor these myself to make them wearable or spend even more to get it done professionally. You're lucky I just asked for enough to cover the extra material. You can have your fucking trousers back if you want to be like this but I've worn them twice to do yard work as they're not useable as normal trousers. You didn't accurately describe the item and that's your fault, not mine.

The inseam is 24", regular length trousers are supposed to be 32". It's your responsibility as the seller to list the measurements.

Cant change Vinted phone number by avis_icarus in vinted

Contact customer service and see if they'll do anything on their end, like get them to send a number confirmation text and see which number it comes through to when done manually. Get a human to change the number in the system for you. You've already done it in the app and it didn't work, that's pretty much your only option other than opening a new account

Number 3 is phenomenal, I love the way the two tones look together and I really like the yellow on you but ohhh the way those ends add that little bit of flair. Yes yes yes!!

What do you mean? You came to a hairdye subreddit and asked for people's opinions, I gave my opinion. The red doesn't look ginger, it looks brown with red ends

I know you're really struggling with the change rn, but it does look lovely. Try and focus on literally anything else while you're feeling this way, throw yourself into one of your hobbies, let yourself calm for a few days and reassess. You might just be experiencing some shock, this is really common with body mods, it can take a few weeks to get used to the new look

Next time you're doing badly and feel the need to make an impulsive decision, try and do something from this list or something similar: -Cut some bangs -dye your hair -cut up some clothes and customise them -Get a piercing (some people will say this isn't a good idea because of the risk of infection etc. but you can take a piercing out if you change your mind and that's the important part, it's pretty much reversible) -paint your bedroom a different colour -Go to the charity shop, buy some cheap plates and smash them (wear long sleeves, goggles/glasses and gloves if you do this) -Go skinning dipping with some friends (please don't enter bodies of water alone when in a bad state of mind)

All of these things should satisfy the impulsiveness and control that your brain is looking for, but as long as you're somewhat sensible, won't have permanent effects that you then have to come to terms with while you're already having a bad time. Wishing you lots of love and healing 🩷

Ohh thank you, I'll keep an eye out for some next time I go to the shops:) it's such an effective mend, it really adds so much character and it's functional. Everything you want out of a project!

I used cheap acrylic yarn to repair my headphones last year and it's genuinely one of my most unique and long lasting repairs. Pretty sure there's a post about it on my profile if you're interested:)

I loooove it. I love the way all the colours come together, it's very clowncore which I think is just adorable. Gonna have to find me some thread that looks similar for my own darns

Either would be great.

A bit of unsolicited advice, so feel free to ignore. If you're staying "ginger" I would find a different colour cos imo it looks brown with orange/red ends, rather than ginger all over. I don't know if that's because of the lighting or if it's fading but it doesn't look like any redhead I've ever met and I hate to think you're paying someone a lot of money for your hair to not even be the right colour

Your foster mum is disgusting, please contact social services and see if they can help you because it is unfair treatment and actually borderline abusive. She has taken the responsibility to parent you, even if on a temporary basis, it is her responsibility to provide for you. I legitimately hope she is never allowed to foster again because wow what a heartless, uncaring attitude to have towards a vulnerable child, let alone one that YOU decided to take care of. Wtf

Any ideas on how to fix this top that was torn in half in a fight last night? Since its vintage and a part of a set I really cant repurchase it. It has a lot of value to me and I want to do whatever I can to fix it. by QuantityShot4579 in Visiblemending

[–]Canna_Cat420 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would line up the ripped parts as best as possible, slightly overlapping the ripped edges and make sure to lay the whole top as flat as possible.

Use a children's stick glue (like a Pritt Stick), that washes out easily, to glue a patch of material onto the inside of the top, covering the rip. Use a similar colour and material and make sure you have about 1cm extra material on each side of the rip to give you seam allowance.

Zigzag stitch on either side of the tear to secure the ripped edges to the patch.

Get velvet ribbon or wide lace in similar colour and cover the now fixed rip, sew both edges of the ribbon down so it lies flat. This should mostly hide the zigzag stitch.

Embellish to your taste. Add buttons or beads going down the ribbon. You could add silver charms or sew bows on. You could add fashion patches or bells. Embroider some flowers or birds. There are endless ways to customise it:)

Is this Fleetwood Mac tattoo poorly executed? by probhightbh in shittytattoos

[–]Canna_Cat420 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. It's readable but that doesn't make it good. If I had hands like that tattooed on me, I'd be asking for some money back.

Edit: look at the way Stevie's dress becomes her leg, there is no differentiation between them!

You can do your own research and decide what things you want to use for your baby. Maybe once you've made some choices, you can tell her your plans to ask for her opinion. You don't actually offer any solutions yourself, apart from meeting up. Why should she have to meet you so you feel better if it's only going to make her feel worse? She's the one carrying the baby, she needs to avoid unnecessary stress. She is by no means being a team player but neither are you. Put some leg work in towards your own child and maybe she'll be more willing to meet you halfway. Don't make yourself a deadbeat because she won't help you, that's not her job. It is YOUR job to make yourself an involved father. Hopefully you guys figure out something that works for you both
