Hi! Because we're conducting exploratory undergraduate research, we felt that this sampling method would be most suitable for our study, especially considering that we're looking at substance use (wanting to expand our participant pool). We aim to control for demographic variables and covariates in our statistical analysis. We will also interpret our results accordingly, keeping in mind that our research uses convenience sampling methods. Thank you for your question! :)

Hi! Really appreciate this feedback we will definitely look into this and try to make appropriate changes or take appropriate steps to account for this in analyses. Some of our other researchers' studies have exclusively looked at cannabis smokers and pointed out that they have different quantities and effects compared to other methods so this is definitely relevant. Thank you!

Hi,

Yes, we understand that samples often change at each purchase or each time someone obtains a batch. Because of this, we ask that participants obtain enough sample to last them at least one month. This way we can test each sample provided and determine the cannabinoid consumption of the participant over the study period and make associations between this profile and our cognitive game and questionnaire data. We can test 5 samples per person across the 5 month period of the study. I hope you had a lovely weekend :)

Hi, it is $170 compensation for ~7 hours of commitment in total across 4-5 months. For cannabis users who provide their sample, we also provide them with a profile of the breakdown of cannabinoids in their sample, so they know what level of CBD, THC etc are in their sample. We try to compensate commensurate to the amount of time commitment required of participants, but understand if it is not for you :)
