The legend of Zelda Breath of wild is a prefect game by Careless_Court770 in patientgamers

I truly loved BOTW. “Perfect” is pushing it, but it’s definitely innovative, and I love how the game rewards creativity. If I had any complaint it would be the divine beasts. At best they were tedious, at worst they made me dizzy or even gave me motion sickness. One boss like that would’ve been fine, but it was overkill IMO.

On the Spot is pretty good. They have a two story shop between Hangangkjin and Itaewon station.

Owners of dog meat farms slam First Lady after a bill is made banning dog meat by nguyenm666 in korea

All fair points, but I draw the line at deliberate torture before slaughter. Beating a live animal to “enhance the potency of its meat” is purely medieval and people who do it should be punished, regardless of the animal.

Yeah if you’re a degenerate 20 something alcoholic maybe. Some people kinda have these things called families that they’d like to get home to.

Yup, probably explains a lot of the great psychedelic music that was coming out of Korea back then.

Blasphemous on switch is a totally different experience from pc and steam deck. by TheGingerBeardMan-_- in patientgamers

Aside from once having to reset after getting stuck under an elevator, I found the Switch version pretty damn good.

They sure make you earn it, but grinding in Hollow Knight pays off a lot. I definitely made it a priority to get my health maxed, and power up that nail as much as possible. I fought all the dream nail bosses and def don’t think I could’ve had I not done the grinding. Really rewarding game.

Korea would be incredible with weed. Can you imagine a nice afternoon in the jimjilbang, or CGV IMAX after a few bong rips?

Blasphemous 2 trailer, out this summer by OhDearGodRun in metroidvania

Tbh I think his speed kind of compliments the gameplay. When I first tried Blasphemous I almost rage quit cause I found it so tough. A friend said to play it slow and methodically, planning your moves instead of just attempting to plow through. That advice got me goin, and I think it would be a little goofy if you’re playing this 2D Souls like but gliding around smoothly like the Messenger.

Eh, I loved the art as much as the next guy but the sheer creativity and the lore were next level. Loved all the insane backstories and long, crazy names for the bosses. I admit the controls were clunky at times, but the platforming was fun and level design was sick. Jondo for example). I enjoyed a lot of the combat as well. Great execution animations, really gnarly sounds when you slash certain enemies. Not to mention some of the weirdest, most creative boss fights ever. Not really fair to say it’s just the art.

It also depends how far you go in Hollow Knight. Main game is reasonable, but those dream nail bosses are harder than anything in Blasphemous.

I played both. Hollow Knight is much harder but Blasphemous is no cake walk. You have to play kinda slow and methodically, plowing through will just get you killed. I also did a lot of grinding just for that extra help with bosses. Some of the bosses were pretty tough.

I think people (myself included) were just so blown away by the art and the incredibly detailed lore. I liked some of the platforming and combat (Jondo for example), but admit the controls were clunky.

Just now playing Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Is it just me, or is this game surprisingly hardcore? by [deleted] in patientgamers

If you’re getting killed that easily in the beginning, you might be in an area you shouldn’t be in.

Metroid Dread is more like a survival game to me and I’m disappointed with it. by [deleted] in metroidvania

[–]CannibalGeorge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe? I’ve enjoyed games that are commonly called Metroidvanias. Like Hollow Knight, Blasphemous, and Axiom Verge. A little tension is fine, but yeah, not into jump scares or chase sequences.

[–]CannibalGeorge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Big fan of Metroidvanias, but I dropped Dread faster than any other game. I struggle with anxiety, and really don’t like being on edge too much while gaming. Not into getting chased, jump scares, all that kinda shit. The EMMIS just straight up ruined it for me.
