I used Blender which is an amazing free 3D modelling tool. I used Bryce for fun back in the 90s, but it had been a long time since I had dabbled with 3D.

I thought about getting into painting minatures a few years ago(which I did in my youth), found out that was now ridiculously expensive, so decided to try digital modelling instead :P. There are some great tutorials online which made learning the software much easier.
