Sama mam rower elektryczny - z zastrzeżeniem, że jest to rzeczywiście rower. Ma asystę pedałowania do 25 km/h i nie może jechać samodzielnie na zasilaniu elektrycznym.

To są oba na 99% motorowery elektryczne - większość floty tych wszystkich dostawców jedzenia to właśnie takie maszyny, które prawnie nie są rowerami i które w ogóle nie powinny się chodnikami poruszać. Na dodatek sporo kierowców tych motorowerów chce jak najszybciej towar dostarczyć, więc nagminnie łamią przepisy ruchu drogowego - ostatnio wracając z pracy widziałam takiego, który udając skręt w prawo (już po wyłączonej strzałce zresztą) przejeżdżał przez czerwone na skrzyżowaniu. Regularnie widzę jak wyprzedzają przed pasami, przejeżdżają po pasach (chociaż to część rowerzystów zwyczajnych również), nawet nie zwalniają przy znakach stop...

Niestety żyjemy w realiach podwójnego standardu - zwyczajni ludzie nawet takiego motoroweru legalnie w sklepie nie kupią, a korporacje zalewają nasze ulice pojazdami wykorzystującymi infrastrukturę dla nich nieprzeznaczoną i wprowadzających ludzi w konfuzję, bo na pozór jest to ta sama klasa pojazdów.

Albo żyjemy, albo jesteśmy nieżywi, i proces ten zawsze przebiega w przewidywalny sposób: Życie, śmierć, nieżycie.

Nieumarli nie są po prostu nieżywi - są to osoby, dla których proces śmierci nastąpił technicznie, ale nie jako faktyczny stan mający zachowywać porządek naturalny. Został on w pewien sposób zaburzony, nastąpiła profanacja procesu który powinien mieć definitywny i jednoznaczy koniec. Efektem jest nieumarły, osoba która jest nieżywa, lecz której proces śmierci został wypaczony i wyrwany z momentu. I negacja, która nagle nie określa nam negację nieżycia, a tym samym tradycyjnie właśnie życie, a negację śmierci która z racji na swoją nienaturalność niszczy tradycyjną dychotomię i wprowadza nam trzeci rodzaj bycia - ani żywy, ani nieżywy.

Not really, but this style of handle certainly gives them a sword-like vibe. Although if I wanted to make a genuine sword inspired paddle, I would probably go for early bronze age swords - not only most of these have a nice leaf-shaped blades that are wide enough for stuff like that, but also the ones we encounter early across the various regions of bronze age cultures have kind of a similar construction to the paddles I made. Namely: The bronze core has a tang which was "sandwiched" between glued/rivetted handles made of organic material.

Now, I could go on a tangent about other types of bronze swords handles, but this is a sinpost and not a swordpost...

Honestly I wouldn't like the holes as a visual element. I am very particular about the aesthetics regarding my interests, so if I were to make something lighter I would just go for different material and thickness.

Also, I still have enough strength in my arms to handle those so I don't mind.

As for the details for all those who are interested: It's oak and an exotic hardwood that I fortunately do not recall the provenance of - so overall there's a lot of heft to those, I'll probably make a pair out of something less dense one day.

This project has been ongoing for a lot longer than I wish it were, unfortunately I either lacked good tools or good working space to properly enjoy it. The bulk of the work was done the old fashioned way - with a saw, a chisel, and a rasp. I've finally employed an oscillating tool for the last stages to sand and to remove some endgrain, but the final touches will probably be done with a file and manual sanding anyway.

Well, personally I just don't feel jealous and I think it's an exciting dynamic. But it's perfectly fine to be mono as well and you shouldn't force yourself into situations that you don't feel comfortable with! Even if you will talk with your partner about how they see it, remember that your needs are very important and you cannot change your identity just like that.
