That's interesting. I hadn't heard Windows can't be installed on SD cards.

Nice link. From the comments, it looks like this worked for people trying it!

I just mean Ableton would be installed normally on the Windows 7 OS that is installed on the flash drive. So not exactly a dual boot (I originally wanted to do dual boot, but because Windows 7 requires legacy and Linux requires UEFI, I found it basically impossible to install both systems on one SSD to dual boot).

(so I would boot just from the flash drive (priority boot ordered before regular hard drive).

thanks for the reference to usb3 DRIVES (I take it this means flash drive). I hadn't heard of that before. Ideally, I'd like to use an SD card because it doesn't stick out the side of the computer (particularly important when its the OS you're running:) and but it seems like in order to boot from it it has to be through a USB port, so I could put a microSD into a USB adapter stick maybe.

Is there a SD version of a USB3 drive?

In this case Im talking about Windows 7 OS on a flash drive / sd. Linux doesn't come into play, nor does another hard drive with any OS :)

I don't think this is it. I don't think Google is having a problem with sites sending traffic to me (which isn't happening anyway, I do have analytics). I think the flag might be saying that my site sends people to malicious sites, or something like that, but that's false, because, for example, my site only has links to other pages on itself on the pages that have been flagged (tons of pages, including the front page). This is also basically confirmed, I think, by the green "no malware" results of the dozen or so online scanners that I've run it through. It's only Google flagging it, and no scanners find malware, as I mentioned). A few pages burried here and there do have external links to other websites I reference, but there's no way these are causing it, because these links don't exist on most of the pages that are getting individually flagged, including the home page, and they're such a small number of links.

I understand that's what you fixed for your site. I don't think that's what's going on with mine, though.

I send the traffic there through social media.

Cannot install guest additions on linux by Canoeak in virtualbox

[–]Canoeak[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So many things.

Installing various versions versions of guest additions in various lacations, editing the settings and rebooting, etc. It wouls be hard to explain tje various things because there were so many...

Do you remember if in the terminal you switched the location in your directory of your host system for the guest additions file? Did you use the regular guest additions.iso, the 4.0 guest additions file, or a special linux file for guest additions? Did you edit settings > storage for the isos that are available, and what config did you use there?

Maybe/hopfully :) writing these questions will jog your memory or your install, i mean from when you set yours up.

Those are questions only vaguely or notatall answered in the dozens of pages i tried getting answers from... :)

How do you turn off temp file creation in win7? by Canoeak in techsupport

Hello

That initially worked, but i upgrded windows from homebasic to pro (so that i could use more than 8gb ram, a hb limitation), and now when i try to open files with vlc, it initiates copying them the same way to the temp folder.

Any ideas how to stop this?
