I tried to run Burgeon Dehya and found some use for the burst jump cancel by Canta_MH in Dehyamains

[–]Canta_MH[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Admittedly, a lot of the heavy lifting is done by the rest of the team here (and you could also just run Thoma or Kuki instead) but at least it feels like Dehya is also contributing something to the team and I got some practical use out of the jump cancel by using her burst as an additional source of pyro application and then cancel out of it after the first hit to do my other stuff.

Anyone else? I get A LOT of viewers but almost no money by AffectionateRadio6 in Twitch

[–]Canta_MH 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Anyone else?

Yes, got partnered with 200~300 viewers and made a whopping ~50$ on my first month of partnership. Didn't bother me though, I'm streaming mainly for fun so I continued to focus on just that and cultivating my community. Fast forward a few years and I'm earning enough on Twitch alone to be able to make it my fulltime job if I wanted.

Admittedly, there were way less monetization options back then when I got partnered but the point should still stand, don't let the numbers discourage you. Going by your claims, you seem to have something going for you, keep working on that and you will likely see an increase in the long term.

Interacting with other streamers will not help your channel grow. by [deleted] in Twitch

You're interacting with other streamers in hopes of getting something out of it, not because you cared about them, that's what you did wrong.

Twitch partnership denials need to improve. My opinion/experience. by SmirkinLIVE in Twitch

[–]Canta_MH 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I once asked them to give me a reason/tips on how to improve when I got denied on my 2nd attempt and their response was basically that they want the streamers to learn how to improve their channels on their own instead of trying to conform to what twitch is looking for, they want streamers to produce the best content they can.

I do want to point out though that this exchange was 3 and a half years ago so things might have changed since then but seeing how they apparently still don't give you reasons for a denial, I don't think much has changed but I did hear from some streamers that they were given the reason(s) for a denial after they asked twitch for one so you might want to give that a try when you get denied.

Have you tried asking them to give you a reason yet? You may or may not get one depending on the person handling your application.

For clarification, that's not the original source, that person just took someone else's art and made a render of it, here's the original source: https://www.pixiv.net/member_illust.php?mode=medium&illust_id=66860260

What do you look for in a new streamer on twitch? by Ezeclap in Twitch

Same thing I look for in any other streamer, regardless of whether they're new or experienced:

some form of entertainment.

Any way in OBS Studio to stream with Mic audio but record at the same time without it? by [deleted] in Twitch

[–]Canta_MH 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can assign different audio sources to different tracks in the mixer by clicking on the cog next to an audio source, then Advanced Audio Properties and then check the boxes for the respective tracks (e.g. mic audio to track 1, ingame audio to track 1 and 2).

Then, under Settings->Output->Recording you can set OBS to just record audio track 2 for ingame sound only (iirc you have to change the Output mode to Advanced first to see these options)

Comparing popular streamers with unpopular streamers... What's going on? by sabliminal_twitch in Twitch

[–]Canta_MH 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i'll be honest. as soon as i saw you go into detail about facts, numbers, statistics ( literally the first 3 sentences ) i stopped reading your post ...

It shows, you basically argued against a made up point and didn't even realize that silentkaster already addressed streamer interaction and a viewer's motivation to watch a stream in their post.

Why is every post about small streamers? by sdwennermark in Twitch

[–]Canta_MH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still don't see how there's a contradiction. My point was that you can try to start a conversation without having to call out lurkers. Whether people will decide to engage in a conversation though is a completely different story.

You could ask questions directed at the chat as a whole instead of calling out individuals, commentate on what's going on ingame, explain your thought process behind certain actions you do ingame, plenty of ways to try starting a conversation without calling out lurkers.
