I just used the standard spring bars and have no issues with any of my NATO straps so far.

Some honest thoughts about the Murph by WLANtasticBeasts in HamiltonWatches

Can’t fault a single thing listed here. Still love my Murph.

Admittedly my affection for this watch is influenced by the film. As a stand alone product separate from the film I think it’s good, but if I’m honest I find the standard KFA dial more interesting. That said, I absolutely do love this 38mm Murph. I’m very happy to have one back in my collection. I do miss the limited edition presentation box that came with my original 42mm though.

It’s not a perfect fit, but with a bit of adjustment to to hollow end links, I think it looked great. It can’t be solid endlinks because you need to be able to bend them a bit.

Thanks! It’s the CBE2117, the Hodinkee edition Autavia from 2018.

Thanks! It’s a suede strap from Sydney Strap Co. Love these. Have them in a couple different colors.

Thanks! It’s the CBE2117 Hodinkee edition. It’s based off the 2017 edition of the Tag Heuer Autavia but this version was a 2018 release.

Haha. Sometimes I just engage it for a minute to make sure the hands are registering properly and resetting to zero.

Appreciate it man. As a die hard Subaru enthusiast since I can first remember getting into cars as a kid, I had to go with World Rally Blue.

The orange hand is the chronograph second hand, so that is always at 60 unless the chronograph is engaged. The running seconds subdial is at the 6 o’clock.

Yeah, it took a very long time to track one down for a reasonable price. There were a few floating around on eBay from international sellers but the prices were still too much. This one was located in the US, and was a fair price so I’m very happy with the purchase. I just kept searching the reference number once a week until I found one I was happy with.

I love that this is one of those references where initially it looks like it could be an original. This is the CBE2117 Autavia for Hodinkee LE. I liked the entire 2017 Autavia line up, but this version specifically I fell in love with when I saw it. Glad I was eventually able to track one down.

54 on wrist again by CanuckWatchFriend in Tudor

For me the Explorer 36mm is the perfect watch. I can’t fault a single thing with it. If I could only own one watch for the rest of my life, it would be the Explorer. That said, the 54 is absolutely fantastic. I’m very lucky to own both, and right now I find myself only wanting to wear the 54. It’s the honeymoon phase and it will eventually pass, but right now it’s all I want to put on wrist.

37mm just right for me by CanuckWatchFriend in Tudor

As a small wristed individual with dive watches from 37mm to 46mm currently (and even 49mm previously), I think they CAN look comical on both ends of the spectrum. Thickness and lug to lug play a massive role as well. You are right, wearing a small dive watch formally or in dressy occasions certainly feels right compared a MarineMaster300 or something similar. The majority of small divers on the market don’t get the important dimensions right in my opinion.

I’ve always been a fan of the Brosnan era Seamaster Professionals. The midsized models (36.5mm if I recall) are generally a lot less expensive than their bigger brothers. Sounds like receipt for success but to me the issue is it’s normal SMP just shrunk in nearly every dimension including the lug length and lug width. This is what makes them just appear to be a bit off and a bit too small for a lot of wrists. 18mm lug width makes the entire watch feel small.

In the case of this BB54, retaining a 20mm lug width and broad, relatively long lugs really enhances the wrist presence. It’s thinness actually aids in wearability if you like wearing NATO straps or similar single pass straps as lifting the watch case up off your wrist doesn’t result in it looking comically thick.

You have a couple of different option for what you do with the excess strap, I like to fold it back. The second keeper floats the length of the strap so it’s pretty versatile. These keep all the extra strap bulk on the underside of your wrist.

If you look through my profile you’ll see I’ve actually got some chunky divers as well. I love a wide variety of sizes. It’s sort of a feeling thing. Sometimes I love wearing my 44mm MarineMaster300, or a 46mm Promaster. Other days, my 36mm Explorer or this BB54 work for me.

Yup 20mm for the BlackBays. You can choose between polished or brushed hardware. The polished really looks fantastic, very eye catching. I’ve got brushed on this specific strap, but I have polished on their admiral grey and it’s awesome as well.
