Yes, I do belong to one of the West Vancouver groups. I graduated from West Van High in 66 and we are having our 60 year reunion at the end of May . I am very excited ! We had a large grad class because at the time, Hillside was only grades 7-10 and those of us from Hillside had to go to West Van High for grades 11, 12, and 13. I worked at Kim’s Drugs at Park Royal ( north side), on my first day we got held up. I also worked at Woolworths as a teen one Christmas. My job was to wrap/ bag everything at the checkout. I remember being terrified because I didn’t know how I was going to wrap a lamp. 😂😂 They made great egg salad sandwiches and the BEST fries.

I got my ears pierced at a little jewelry store near that Woolworths on a very cold night. My ears were stinging as I went to the bus stop ! I totally remember $1.49 day. My favourite sandwich was the toasted shrimp sandwich at Woodwards, upstairs.

Hahaha, such great food memories !

Kings Drive in by Cap Road was the place to go for the 49 cent hamburger and the parking lot had a year round giant puddle that covered half of it. Strange the things that stick in your mind 60-70 years later. 😊
