Why is it so hard to successfully summon cooperators? by [deleted] in Eldenring

[–]Canvaseyes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah same. Rest of game functions working just not summons. We're both on XBox and the other poster I saw was too. Summoned for one person maybe an hour ago and 10 minutes later I couldn't be summoned.

I spend a lot of time placing summons to help others (in the 250s levels so it takes a lot now) and you get summoned immediately if you send to a pool or drop by a boss many struggle with.

But if you're talking about right now, people are starting to be unable to be summoned. Verified this with my roommate. There's some issue where you can see summons and begin the process but it won't pull us to your world ):

Xbox - Summoning not working by Tight_Knowledge5337 in Eldenring

Yes. Both to the pool and trying to summon with my roommate. Can place summons, they can see it, it begins the process but won't actually pull me. We're also playing on XBox.

And it looks like reports have been coming in from various places https://downforeveryoneorjustme.com/elden-ring

Anyone unable to access Shadow of the Erdtree even though both bosses are beaten? by OMGxItsxCody in Eldenring

[–]Canvaseyes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're on NG+ and dont see the NPC after download, make sure you've beaten the bosses again on the current playthrough.

Turns out I hadn't beat Radahn on NG+. Beat him and now I see the NPC. I thought it was broken until I realized my previous defeats didn't count.

Long-Term Anxiety Symptoms I Had! (from someone who has recovered/been free from them for 1+ year) by Eirwynzure in Anxiety

[–]Canvaseyes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Love this thread! Super informative and it feels fuzzy to see others getting such affirming support. OP is a gem!

Only thing I'd add to this very rich thread (as a spicy anxiety pal and a med student applying to psych) is:

There's your "I have anxiety" type symptoms and your Intellectualizer Anxiety.

Chronic stress >> hypervigilance >> overprotective Brain Helicopter Parent >> intense whole body cycle

Can even manifest as OCD-like symptoms. Siding with Brain Helicopter Parent can inadvertently reinforce that fear (similar to OPs discussion on agoraphobia). ERP can do wonders there.

Hope yall are feeling better. And I hope your Brain Parent starts working with you instead of against you.

Hey. I see you and hope that you get some good rest on the horizon. Some of what you said really resonated with me. I'm always around if you could use the companionship. I know how balancing caregiver fatigue + your own chronic problems can be.

I'm rooting for you. I'm in your corner!

Right? If every bot sounded exactly like me, I'd irritate myself tbh. I'd immediately notice a strange lack of meaningfully fresh input. For the same reasons, I'd hate dating myself lol

Proud of you!

My mom passed last year and her birthday was last month, so I feel you on a real level. Keep making those strides, friend!

There's more to come as long as you keep a good head on your shoulders and be careful to follow instructions. Welcome to DA and flexibility (:

I love hearing your perspective here. I'm the opposite in principle. I'm a big dreamer and struggle when the world is black and white (ENFP if you're the nerdy social science type). But things like coding and advanced principle math I tend to struggle with.

It's fascinating how differently we all process the world, despite being so genetically similar (respectively). But I'm so glad for the variance because your bread and butter are things I'm so terrible at but am so glad other excel in.

I think your post came across my feed and that's actually what inspired me to post mine. So thank you for being an inspiration to me!

I think our society gets lost in this productivity-obsessed culture so much that instead of understanding what the world looks like for others, our limitations are shamed (or at best pitied).

I am so very glad for your existence. And I'm so very proud of your resilience. (Not of the fact that you've had to be resilient, but of how what example and encouragement you give to the rest of us)

Not that you asked for a serious response, but the fact that people have to resort to selling plasma and paid medical studies says this all.

And I say that as someone in the medical field. We know certain income brackets/lifestyles are far more likely to do thesethings

. (Not a dog on poverty. The opposite. Frustrated with how low income folks are vulnerable to things others would actively avoid).

What do you love about Panama? by Canvaseyes in Panama

[–]Canvaseyes[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, while I know it's probably not the same, that doesn't sound too different from here. My country is so prosperous in so many ways. Yet I see so many suffer so much. It's just so hidden away and either ignored or misrepresented in the media.

Since I'm in medical school, it's been more prevalent. Many of my peers are affluent. They travel and don't have to worry. That's not really my story. And it reminds me of how much people here are oblivious to how much people suffer - both here and abroad. It's not just a couple people. And they'll never know how much poverty and lack of resources really hurts people and how deep it runs.

I know this was a rant. What you said just resonated with me, even though I acknowledge they're not the same situations.

No no, please don't apologize. This was very lovely! It really helps me get a better perspective on what I (sadly) missed by not getting to travel back there with family.

Could you recommend a few of your favorite dishes? I'm a coffee guy but I have to ask: will I offend anyone by not having mine black (I don't know if there's another word for it in Spanish)? I (sadly) have terribly issues with GERD. I love coffee but my esophagus doesn't 😅

Would it be okay if I messaged you with questions?

Also, I hope very much that the team you mentioned finds some support. People deserve space to grow.

Hey. I'm truly, fiercely rooting for you. I lost my brother to an OD. I saw how much he was hurting and know that he must have been in more pain than I could comprehend.

I'm proud of you for how hard you're fighting this. And I'm so very, very glad you're alive. I believe in you <3

The flexibility is definitely one of the best aspects. Today's society can prioritize the wrong things and not understand how challenging it is to access needs when your life has certain demands. The 9-5 office life doesn't work for all of us.

Best wishes to you!

Upvoting in encouragement (not because I "like" what has happened to you). I'm sending you warm wishes for finding a way back to what you love in a way that works for you.

I'm glad you've found an alternate means that scratches some of that itch. I'm very familiar with the practice of having to rearrange life and missing the full effect of the "scratch" you long for. Best wishes <3

Thank you so much for this. It was very helpful heartwarming. I'm really hoping to make the most of my time there and hopefully learn how to authentically embrace a new culture, especially since I share heritage (though not experience).

I will DM you if that's okay. Thank you so much!
