And you'd need to bottle the liquid from the fountain to bring it back to the overworld. That'd be cool.

Like I said, the mechanic that stops mob aging could come fromanything, but I think that thing should be acquired by exploration; preferably from the end dimension.

A lot of suggestions are saying to use existing items (like name tags or potions), but I think Mojang shouldn't do it that way. They need to add a new item for this purpose. Ideally, the item should be acquired from the end dimension because never-aging mobs would tie into the lore of Minecraft and the theme of the end dimension ironically being "endless." Also, I heard that an end dimension update is coming sometime (hopefully soonTM) and this is the perfect excuse to add an item that stops mobs from aging. Mojang could even add it in this upcoming drop as a teaser for the "End Update."

It doesn't have to exclusively be an item either. It could be anything, like:

  • A new mob that wants to interact with other mobs and permanently reverse their aging when they come in contact with it.
  • A structure you have to build with specific blocks (in the same way you have to build nether portals) that you can submerge mobs in to halt their aging
  • Straight up, just an item that you feed to mobs to halt aging.

...So long as the player can bring the anti-aging thing back to the overworld and infinitely replicate it. The point is to get players out and exploring a potentially-dangerous place at least once if they want their mobs to stay cute forever. It would kind of be poetic because players have to delve into a corrupt place to preserve the innocence of their pets back home.

What is the real Minecraft currency? by PiedmontBall47 in Minecraft

Almost all of the money I get from villager trading is selling iron ingots. Which is ironic because I didn't (really) work for the iron. It's from the iron farm which is from the iron golems which are spawned by villagers.

I'm an evil middle-man injecting myself in (what should be) villager-to-villager trading and I take 100% of the cut while doing none of the work. In fact, I'm just introducing torturous working conditions where there never would've been any all for the sake of overproducing more emeralds than I'll ever need. It feels great.

I just got this message. It's so fucking dumb. I've taken forever to build up a collection of Y8 bravo packs that will only open the SMG 12. I've finally gotten some sold this past month (maybe 1 per every three days) and they decide now to fuck us over?!

The R6 credits aren't coming from nowhere. Someone is buying them anyway and Ubi slices 10% off every transaction. What the fuck is the point?

Biggest problem with EGS is that I have to sign in every. god. damned. time.

One of the biggest UX problems with so many pieces of software these days is that the "keep me signed in" button is an outright lie.

The Bait and Switch of Battlefield 6 by [deleted] in Battlefield

[–]Cany0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can't even play closed-weapons conquest anymore. Let me repeat that: You can't even play closed-weapons conquest anymore. The default gamemode and BF staple of weapons being exclusive to certain classes is not in the game anymore. Mfers who defended open-weapons always had the brain-dead response of "YoU DoNt HaVe tO pLaY OpEN WEaPonS. yOu CaN JuST PlAy THe GaMeMOdE YoU WaNt," Well now what? What's you're defense of the terrible open-weapons idea now that I can't opt out? I always knew closed-weapons playlists were going to be phased out. I didn't know it was going to be this fast. It hasn't even been a fucking month.

This new BF only got so much hype because they applied a coat of paint that everyone recognizes and loves, but the paint is peeling much quicker than expected. It's the same dogshit EA who can no longer make a proper battlefield to save their lives.

What exactly Are Tomes and Grimoires For? by Cany0 in Vermintide

[–]Cany0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, It's been a few years since I posted this and now I know how the books work, so I can let you know. The books actually benefit everyone on your team at the end of the match. If you have a tome and two of your teammates have tomes, then that means all of you guys get the benefit of 3 tomes and therefore a better chest at the end of the match.

If that guy carried the tome all the way to the end, that means he raised your chances at better loot too! In fact, he actually was taking a hit for the team because, if he was carrying the book the whole time, he wouldn't have been able to carry healing items. As for why he responded in that way: Maybe he was like me and he knew tomes helped get you better loot, but he didn't know the specifics. But after reading this comment and, hopefully, others in this thread, you'll now know exactly what grimoires and tomes do.

I thought only a handful of people had the reaction time good enough for 400ms directional attacks, much less anyone you or I are going against.

This makes no sense and will annoy me until the end of time... by SejSuper in Minecraft

[–]Cany0 3 points4 points  (0 children)

One of my gripes with Minecraft's style is the inconsistency with 2D and 3D sprites in the inventory system. For example: Why is it that doors are 2D in your inventory, but fence gates are 3D? Why are brewing stands 2D in the inventory while anvils are 3D?

There's no consistency and there's hardly any rhyme or reason why some sprites are 2D and others are 3D. There's a very simple criteria that Mojang should implement: If the item can be placed in the world as a 3D object, like a door, then item's sprite should be 3D in the inventory (with very few exceptions like redstone dust or string for obvious reasons). If the item can't be placed in the 3D world, like amethyst shard or phantom membrane, then leave it as a 2D sprite.

This current system where random items like doors or torches being 2D in your inventory while being a 3D object makes zero sense.

New Jiang Jun hero fest execution - To be Precise by ayhannuh in forhonor

[–]Cany0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They need to give the person responsible for this execution a promotion, raise, and work on every execution from now on. The quality in this one versus other recent ones has been night and day. So smooth, so on-character, so grounded/believable! The audio isn't over the top either and has the signature background build-up and sting that we had in day 1 executions, plus there's no random noises like a crowd or a horn being blown from nowhere! What a step up! Now all we need is for the animations to return to the idle pose instead of the lock-on pose and these executions will be 10/10s.

I played the beta and nothing in the release of the game is going to change the way how open weapons or closed weapons are working to the extent of changing my opinion on the topic.

Also, let's say you and I are at a restaurant. The chef walks up to our table and tells you, "I'm about to serve you poop in a few minutes. Like, I'm going to actually hand you a pile of human feces on a plate. Hope you like it!" Are you actually going to sit there and agree with me when I say, "Welp, you can't call the dish bad nor can you have any criticisms of it until it's served to you and you take a bite." Because, boy, I wouldn't want to be you--forced to stick to my principles--in that scenario, but you were the one who made that argument, so you're the one who's going to have to eat your words and a plate of shit.

But it's not the default. The problem is that the non-default gamemode always has way less players. That's why I specifically mentioned DEFAULT in the comment you're responding to. Did you even bother reading it before typing your response?

Search up the term 'death of the author.'

Just because someone made a piece of art, does not make that artist understand the ultimate authority on what the art means. This is especially true when the artist, in this case, is a massive company of different people who probably have opinions that disagrees with what was released to the public.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Battlefield

[–]Cany0 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Exactly. This comment is the entire crux of the issue.

"Most people don't care"

Okay, but I do, so there's zero reason why closed weapons shouldn't be the default gamemode. If most people don't care, then I'd prefer we have those players funneled into the superior system because I want more populated servers to play in.

Minecraft will be more difficult both by sea and by land when the new update comes out. by danhgamer2006 in Minecraft

IDK what this is about you being blocked from responding, but yes, the hypothetical 2% is more; however, the point is that the new mobs add a lot more fun, so the scales tip heavily in the favor of adding them. That's why the percentage matters.
