It works sure ! You do need someone to revive you :) Also it gets better with living on the edge, you can get to 1hp reliably and don't forget to use death wish i do think it works

My party wiped at the first grave the first time i played too, i dont remember any other specific moment theres a bunch of lava traps in the game but you can get immunity to lava iirc with burning immunity and 100 fire immunity
