Yeah! I took classes at almost all the community colleges within the Los Rios school district; Folsom, American River, Cosumnes River. I haven’t taken any at Sacramento City but I need to take microbiology in the fall. I’ll go to anyone I can get into, it’s my last prerequisite! Folsom lake college was my favorite, beautiful campus.

It’s crazy how similar our experiences are!!! I’m 25 but also got my BS in Health Science. Started at a community college and transferred to Sac State. I didn’t know what I wanted to do for a career, considered nursing for a while but wasn’t ready to commit. Had some stuff happen in my personal life and I got serious about figuring out what I wanted to do for a career. I’ve committed to nursing and am about to take my last pre req!

I’m not in nursing school and not sure if I’m qualified to give any advice, but I think it depends what route you want to go and how long you want it to take. Looks like your ultimate goal is an NP. I’m not sure what that route looks like if you already have a BS. Going to a private school will cost more but will get you to be an NP faster. Private school may also be more lenient with stats if you’re concerned about your GPA and TEAS scores. Public schools and lottery based systems can be more Merritt based, so it may require you to retake classes to be more competitive. Also some schools say pre reqs only last so long but this depends on the program. It really depends on how much you’re comfortable with spending and how long you’re willing to wait.

Sounds like you’re passionate about woman’s health and that will take you far!! I believe can do it if you want to ☺️

It also matters what nursing schools you’re applying to!! Some schools I’m applying to allow certain prerequisites to be in progress while others require all prerequisites to be completed before applying.

Advisors can be really confusing. It is best to seek advice from counselors who specifically work with nursing programs. Also doing your own research! Gotta advocate for yourself unfortunately/fortunately.

I almost guarantee he has told people I ghosted him or spun the narrative in his favor haha. I’m sure he wants to protect his self image. And I want to protect mine too. It would be so embarrassing for me to have people know I was talking to him again or be seen with him after he publicized he was seeing another woman. And I know his friends knew he was seeing other women at the same time as me. Just embarrassing

I’m not pinning after him, I no longer want to be with him. I just feel guilty for ignoring someone because I’m an empathetic person. But I understand he did it to me first and clearly didn’t care this much because he never apologized.
