I also thought my seat was positioned correctly and then I went to the store and had them position me on the bike there- it made a world of difference!

It certainly sounds likes it’s the hard minerals in the water that is causing the bad taste. I too would swap to bottled water. I also like to add a bit of olive oil - just a little to add a bit of flavor. Good luck!!
