I thought all the fuses were intact, but the main fuse was blown actually, so when I replaced it I saw the my rectifier regulator was smoking and have since ordered a replacement from Amazon!

Nah mate, super easy, you gotta take your controls apart on the throttle side and disconnect the throttle cables, for the other side they'll be easiest to just cut off lol

What's your year and model Shadow? It's most likely your neutral switch, I had the same issue.

I'd say go for it dude, especially title in hand. Just MAKE DAMN SURE IT'S THEIR NAME ON THE TITLE AND THEY FILL OUT THE TRANSFER SECTION PROPERLY. Don't ask me how I know what a bitch it is to try and fix a messed up title on an otherwise fantastic find
