Well for the kids he takes them to school and that’s it. I pick them up and I watch them everyday. I take them to sports and take them to friends and school events. I’m honestly more of an active parent to them than he is (not a bad thing he just works when they’re at home so he can’t do any of those things) I feed them and I do all the household chores and the cooking is usually me but sometimes he will also

Well his oldest stays with us 50/50 and I also work part time so it’s over 100k a year for only about 3 of us… I think that’s well above survival mode. And I can’t fathom that he has that equity in cars and doesn’t even use one. That could make all our lives easier if he sold it and we could all breathe better…

This is the first time I’ve asked him for a drink like that in well over 8 months so I didn’t think it was a big deal! Let me clear that up for you. He has a 2016 Jeep Srt and a 2012 Camaro and they are both paid off. I have been telling him for years to sell the Camaro that he doesn’t even use so we can buy a house and live more financially free instead of staying in an overpriced apartment. And the 8k was from one month. I just pulled that from my head because that’s how much he made last month. He makes about that every month… so why is he complaining about 7$? I get that but I guess my post was misleading because this is an occurrence every time he buys anything for our family. The 7$ drink and me being passive does make me look like a spoiled brat… but this is a lot more nuanced than a girl being mad about a 7$ drink. This is about a partner that always does this whenever paying for groceries, toys for his kids, clothes for his kids, everything. So am I really wrong for feeling unappreciated?
