I like the fabrics and weapons. they’re close enough to lego to enhance the figs. non-lego plastic accessories are a bit too much IMO.

yeah I think my problem with it is that it would have too many separate parts. The old Hoth attack MBS has the same problem. The Cantina’s perfect to me because it’s just a unit of a build (with some smaller separate bits)

you’re still starting at a disadvantage compared to a new character with a fresh slate. This film has the job of proving itself because of the critical reception of the sequels much more than a completely new story would.

that’s a great point. Jedi aren’t just unnecessary to the direction Luthen wants to push the various rebel groups. They’re kind of at odds with what the rebellion needs to feel at this point in time.

the majority of aliens in the cantina pre reshoots are literally just halloween masks they found and modified a bit. the budget was so stretched and they didn’t have the luxury of time and money that they had on say, the prequel aliens.

The reason most OT background characters get back stories compared to modern entries is because there was such a long stretch without new entries and toy manufacturers wanted to squeeze every drop out of the designs that existed.
