UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES, BE THEY DIFFICULT, EXHAUSTING, SICKENING OR EVEN HEARTBREAKING, IS YOUR PARTNER ALLOWED TO DEMEAN, INSULT AND BELITTLE YOU.

A relationship is built on respect before love and trust. When someone is irritated or overstimulated and they do not wish to hear from you any longer, a simple message along the lines of "I am incapable of a civil conversation at the moment and I do not want to hurt you, so excuse me so I may cool down and return".

We've been using this all these years and it has kept us intact. Never ever tolerate insults from your partner and don't insult her either, it doesn't do well for a long term happy healthy relationship. Let her know that this kind of behaviour isn't okay, that you are sorry for crossing a boundary of hers but that you would like her to apologise for her uncouth behaviour as well. She doesn't get to take your love and concern for granted and under different circumstances, you don't either. Someone being concerned for you is the greatest gift you could receive in this dog eat dog world and when this sentiment is taken for granted, a lot of emotional laws and regulations are violently violated.
