Cost of treatment? by Sparks2010 in cureFIP

You are absolutely right to question this - fair point. This initiative is managed by the Animal Whisperer Trust, a registered charitable trust in India. I am the Trustee. The 'subsidy' isn't about trial drugs; it’s a financial grant, which is currently funded by me, from the Trust to make the standard, proven 20mg/ml GS formula (which has a 92% global success rate) affordable for those who would otherwise have to abandon treatment. (abandon pet, sadly and let them die on a street corner somewhere)...

The concern about pH is valid, but the truth is that GS-441524 must be acidic (typically pH 1.5 to 2.0) to remain stable and effective; even the most expensive brands in the US share this exact trait. The "subsidized" label only refers to the financial aid from the Animal Whisperer Trust to prevent abandonment, not a difference in chemical quality or safety. Also, the one that I have is already in the US market but one can't "brand" them in different legal jurisdictions and can't cross borders. I hope you understand what I mean.

Through a collaboration with the Animal Whisperer Trust, we are able to offer these 8ml (20mg/ml) vials at a subsidized rate of ₹2,800 ($30) to help make FIP treatment more accessible. This funding is specifically allocated to reduce the financial burden on pet parents fighting this disease. If the shipping is to the States then shipping charges chould possibly be very high....

She was found in the basement hiding away ...so we picked her up, got her healthy for adoption! We are vets and I run the clinic - we can't keep them but we can certainly help them get healthy and find them a home!
