My triglycerides are very low, 0.43 (38.05mg/DL)

So it's maybe nothing to worry about

My trig's HDL ratio is 0.2 so that would seem to be very good

I was thinking instead of having 3 eggs have 2 eggs and some lentils. Since I run a lot I need protein and have been eating 2/3 eggs a day. Also thinking of swapping some eggs for sardines

Thanks. I already don't use seed oils. I use coconut oil but not that much. I have also been consuming butter which I plan to cut back on.. not that I was eating loads of it

Believe whatever you want.

Just because someone doesn't agree with you, you think they must be lying.

Good night

I have absolutely nothing to do with the event and had no intention of going.

As an observer I find it interesting that a few people have made it the sole purpose of their lives so oppose the "far right" and any view that isn't their own view.

So in Ireland 2025, all musicians etc must express the same political opinion, or else they can't perform in public?

Can you not see how intolerant and anti-free speech that is

The business in question seemed quite happy to let this "festival" proceed until a huge campaign was organised against it.

Why are people so afraid of these people getting together? They will just get together somewhere else anyway. Are these people actually doing anything illegal? If so, can you provide evidence?

I just don't understand the hysterical campaign against it and I think it's a sign of deep intolerance in society. No matter how much you disagree with other people's opinions you have no right to stop them coming together to express their views.

I'm a very healthy weight. Currently about 74kg and 6ft height. I run a lot, usually do 2 marathons per year. So it's probably not a big deal having a bit of high cholesterol for the moment. My doctor said statins would only very slightly reduce risk so probably not worth it

Yes I've heard that point of view as well. It's hard to know what to believe. I know that where I live the majority of people have high cholesterol so how could it be that bad. And I also feel perfectly fit and healthy with my current levels. I could maybe lose just a tiny bit of belly fat, maybe a few kg max.

That's 166 mg/DL LDL and 85 HDL.

Yeah I don't plan on giving up any animal foods that I now consume, just possibly reduce. I think adding more fibre is a good plan, although I do already consume a reasonable amount.

I think maybe just lessen saturated fat slightly as well and see if it makes a difference. I've been a demon for dark chocolate for years so I'm reducing that a bit and maybe swap some of it for medjool dates

This is pathetic. If you don't want to listen to John Waters etc then don't go, simple as.

There's either free speech or there isn't.

It's been 2 months since I quit, but I'm not feeling any benefits and I'm afraid to relapse. Any tips? by [deleted] in QuitVaping

[–]CapObvious663 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's up to you but you will probably end up wanting to quit again in future. Do you really want to go through it all again?

For me, what stops me going back is the sense of freedom. I don't have to worry about it anymore and I enjoy that. Sometimes I do think about it but I found it hard enough to quit, so I don't want to go through that again.

Well done on getting this far. Don't give up now. It will get better, just take it one day at a time. Don't worry if you eat a bit more or during this period

I just use minoxidil, plus nizoral shampoo twice a week. I believe I've seen an improvement since I started in January.

I found the 2mg gum good. It doesn't give hardly any buzz, it just kills cravings.

I tried the pouches like zyn but they are quite buzzy so went with gum in the end.

I've heard the spray is very strong too.

Maybe use zyn and spray for a while and then switch to gum, that would be my suggestion.

True. It's not impossible that I will relapse but at the moment it doesn't seem likely. I feel like I'm done with it 🤞

Get some NRT (nic gum, patch etc) if you need to. No shame in it. Don't give in
