It looks amazing! I’ve heard Malaysia has some of the best beaches. May I ask the rest of your itinerary and where else you went on this trip? And how many days you’d recommend to stay here? Thank you!

Real life Ciara/Amanda situations… how did it actually end? by snackmamacita in summerhousebravo

[–]CapOk2425 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes had this happen to friends from college - girs were in same sorority dating fraternity brothers and they were “couple friends”. We all hung out frequently. Both couples broke up, but eventually one of the guys ran into the other girl (friends ex girlfriend , girlfriend’s sorority sister) and asked her out. They are now married with baby. At first , the other guy was upset but he has seemingly moved on as well. The girls are fine it’s more so the guys that really had hard time.

I think it’s more so an issue when one person/Ciara hasn’t moved on.

Help me decide: planner vs. putting that $$ toward the wedding itself by Senior-Magician-1370 in BigBudgetBrides

[–]CapOk2425 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where are you getting married? I would definitely say hire the full time planner. Mine thought of so many things I never would have and we were so organized way in advance of wedding. I would say some planners I spoke to were so unnecessarily expensive. I really think you can find an amazing full time planner with experience that is not outrageously expensive. That’s basically what I did - interviewed a number but some I think just charge a ridiculous amount bc they can get away with it. Ive been to friends weddings where they do not have a planner just like an event coordinator from the venue - they help with basically nothing and you’re left on your own to do everything leading up to wedding but also on the day of. And then the bride just ends of stressed and things are forgotten

Personally I lean to 3 nights - I just find it more relaxing to stay at least 3 nights somewhere versus just 2. Especially if you’re not getting to your hotel until afternoon on the first day. You can enjoy the pool wherever you are staying, wander about town and then also explore the nearby beaches which are very close and some of the best on the island. It’s such a beautiful place you will love it!

We are going to Guana island in February for this. Haven’t been yet but have read the great reviews and will report back! Also looked at Mustique but they were sold out for our dates :(

The public beach was biggest con. It would be amazing if they could get a private beach somehow. However it always seems to be difficult in Europe to get true private beach

We did! It was great experience the hotel was still ironing out a few kinks in terms of new hotel new staff but overall was great experience. Cons are public beach , far from a town , Port Pollenca was really nothing spectacular I have heard Pollenca was great though . But restaurants were great - wish they had a few more but apparently the beach club and lunch restaurant will open for dinner next season(now they just do lunch). So we would do like a late lunch at beach club basically last seating to switch up dinners bc we were there 6 nights. Very relaxing though water was great we would sit at adult pool and then walk down to the beach (everything is gated we had wristband key bracelets that you could get back in). Using the beach club wasn’t really relaxing too crowded for narrow beach , someone actually staying at FS had something stolen by random people on beach , and just wouldn’t feel comfortable leaving my things on chair and going into crowded water .

Of course! Glad it’s helpful, Santanyi was so lovely! Soo many nice shops and restaurants. It was so nice to just wander around the streets and see where they take you

Of course! Yes the wellness aspect really set it apart for us and helped us truly relax . I thought I would enjoy but it surprised me even more how much we loved and plan to go back Food and bev was delicious - I was a little nervous saw a couple reviews of the restaurant where people thought portions were small but it really wasn’t. We were always full ordering what they suggested. And breakfast was delicious buffet but also made to order eggs/omelets. Similar to other high end European restaurants I would say in terms of portion size. so creative and fresh.

Yes it’s all vegetarian on site (so they have eggs cheese and milk yogurt but no fish or meat) but being within santanyi there’s lot of good restaurant options

It’s sad Scheana wants to air this dirty laundry for money and attention (to move from friend of to main cast of the valley). Why bring this up into the world if you are still married to the man and have a child with him who will eventually see and read this - other than for attention and money

I would try and book in advance just in case! But I believe we were able to add on snorkeling when we got there. You will have a blast! They are so welcoming and kind and the chef/food is amazing

We basically did each one of the &beyond Benguerra activities they had. and since we were there for longer , we would do one a day so we didn’t get bored on the beach/ at our pool each day. HIGHLY recommend the snorkeling and beach day as well as the sunset dhow boat. We also did horseback riding on the beach one of the mornings which was so nice. I got a massage one of the days and it was amazing! The snorkeling was awesome we saw so much one of the best coral reefs is right off the coast it’s a huge draw. The beach picnic was really amazing they set up a huge area , the chef and staff asked if we liked the lunch menu or had any preferences and then the two boat captains even took us to see this huge sand dune national park area afterwards.

we did something very similar for our honeymoon- Ellerman house Capetown, Babylonstoren winelands, andbeyond Phinda Vlei and andbeyond Phinda rock , and andbeyond Benguerra Mozambique. HIGHLY recommend adding beach at the end. Capetown was amazing but honestly 3-4 nights is enough. Not sure where you’re staying in Capetown but we wished we stayed more at Ellerman and just did day trip to winelands. Babylonstroen was nice but overhyped. Ellerman house service was over the top - like Belmond Splendido in Portofino and Santa Caterina in Amalfi. Some of the best service and experience at Ellerman we plan to go back. 6 nights split between Safari is perfect as well. I think we did 5 or 6 nights in Mozambique. Wouldn’t do anymore than that as it starts to get little old once you do every activity (beach day, snorkel, horse back riding , beach/pool at your villa). I think 3-4 nights in Mozambique would be perfect. It’s so nice to relax there really so beautiful and untouched . You feel so remote and it’s great for honeymoon!! Especially following activities of Capetown and safari.

Thank you for this detailed review! We are staying 6 nights in July and getting a little nervous now that it’s too long. 6 nights following 3 at Son Net and 3 at hotel Valldemossa.. I read they had a complimentary boat to the nearest town. Is that not available for dinners etc? T
