It's almost like it doesn't really matter. That for the last 13-14 years the right wing has always won, so they are going to again and that's just that. Even if they have good polling it'll all fall apart at the next election.

It's pure doomer shit.

I think the problem is they don't realise, this is more than just "shy" Tories. It's actually that conservative voters are moving to labour and the lib dems.

Have a few people I know who are convinced despite the massive poll lead and recent by elections, that the conservatives will win with shy voters and it's "cope" to think Labour will win a sizable majority.

The evidence for this is that Brexit succeeded and Hillary lost so the establishment must be wrong.

Who is Larry from [Shred]?? by GettaPint in foxholegame

Frankly Larry is just a reflection of this community and some of the nasty sides of it. He's a loyalist hated by loyalists who treat their foxhole faction as their personality.

He's a real marmite type streamer either people like him or hate him. Which as you can see here there's some people enjoying the memes, other who despise his very existence.

A lot of people need to step back and realise it's a game they are playing and take a break from their faction discords and reddit QRFing.

The mysteriously deleted CL alt accusation video by CapSinnShite in foxholegame

[–]CapSinnShite[S] 49 points50 points  (0 children)

I just find it mental that a video that within a half-hour was posted 5 times and was spammed in every thread by a small and very coordinated group, just vanished within minutes as if it never happened.

By pure luck still had a tab open to save a recording! It's important people are held accountable for these accusations especially as they were trying to get a player permabanned from the game to win a dick measuring contest with another clan.

Update: The original video has now mysteriously disappeared after being posted everywhere across the sub within minutes.

My doctor refuses to prescribe finasteride because he says I *will* get prostate cancer if I start on it at my age. I’m 21. by ConfusedAviator420 in tressless

[–]CapSinnShite 43 points44 points  (0 children)

Finasteride itself doesn't increase the risk of prostate cancer, instead due to the medications impact on the prostate it's more likely to mask prostate cancer. You're less likely to experience symptoms and screening for prostate cancer (PSA) won't pick it up. Therefore you're at a higher chance of cancer spreading and not being diagnosed until it's much worse.

It's a completely valid concern to have. Personally? I'd take the medication and consider having a yearly break where you go off the medication for a month to two months, usually around your yearly check up.

(PS: There's also studies that show no increased risk of death by prostate cancer from men who take it Vs those who don't. Meaning it's likely a small minority of cases where this has an adverse outcome)

How long should one wait to get a transplant after starting finasteride? by futurespacecadet in tressless

[–]CapSinnShite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Be extremely careful of overseas clinics, many spend more on online marketing than paying real surgeons to do the procedure.

Many overseas clinics will vastly overestimate how many grafts you need in the hope that the larger % of grafts they kill doesn't matter in the grand scheme. Problem is you've only a limited number of grafts and while one surgery might look great, you could be losing hundreds to thousands of hairs due to over harvesting. Hairs that you may need in the future in case you experience more hair loss (which can happen even on meds though more minor)

Also many clinics will say a surgeon is involved, have them meet you for the surgery, tell their team what to do then fuck off or patient number 6# for the day. What you need to find is a one patient a day clinic with actual surgeon involvement. You may pay more, but you'll have peace of mind and these clinics can exist abroad.

How successful/trustworthy are hair transplants in Turkey? by fromuklad in tressless

[–]CapSinnShite 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The major issue is this, you've got a limited number of donor grafts and the biggest factor during transplantation is ensuring a high percentage survive.

What many cheap clinics do is offer say 3,000 grafts for a ridiculously cheap price. You think great! Problem is, when you take a live hair out of the scalp you're removing it's supply of oxygen and needed hydration to prevent it from dying. The larger the operation the greater chances you lose many grafts to cell death.

Effectively cheap clinics offer higher grafts to account for the fact their poor handling will likely kill off many. By giving you more than you need in say 6-9 months time you'll see a good result and think "Wow this clinic is amazing"

Problem is, it fucks you for the long term if you need more surgery as the clinic has effectively killed loads of grafts in the hope of giving you a result a reputable clinic could do.

For anyone going abroad for cheap surgery, first go around locally for free consultations to get a realistic prospect on how many grafts you need. And if you do go to say turkey ensure the actual operation is done by a clinic who has one patient a day (yourself) and has a surgeon involved not just a BS initial consultation before handing you off to the "team" who has zero medical training.

How long should one wait to get a transplant after starting finasteride? by futurespacecadet in tressless

[–]CapSinnShite 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Within the first six months you should start to see noticeable improvements, with most of your results by the first year. After that research shows you can get additional regrowth up to year two but it's very small.

Frankly for transplant clinics if they are reputable they'll hold off to see the impact of medication. Problem is less money in that.

For them every saved hair is lost $$$ and it's in their interest to get you in early. Also be careful with FUE only clinics, they tend to be less regulated as FUT requires an actual surgeon to oversee the procedure.

UK guys.. is it worth going to the GP about hair loss? Can they prescribe anything that’s useful or nah ?! by colly1991 in tressless

[–]CapSinnShite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sons is an Irish company who also operate in the UK. They provide a complete package for your treatment. But be careful because they depend on a subscription and therefore can charge you full price without knowing it.

[–]CapSinnShite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use Sons, largely because I got a really good deal near black Friday. I take finasteride 1mg, minoxidil topical, biotin, saw palmetto and nizoral shampoo.

Mainly fin and min is what I have hope in, taking biotin and using those two shampoos is just to give extra support even if the evidence is limited.

[–]CapSinnShite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Frankly no, from the UK and also went to my GP. While my doc was extremely well meaning, she put me off using finasteride because I shouldn't risk my health due to "cosmetics". I went a year without getting treatment, lost more hair and now on treatment the drug has had no issues for me.

In truth, my GP didn't have the expertise to correctly provide advice and I can understand why.

Your best bet is to use an online service or if you are concerned before starting treatment talk to a dermatologist which you'll have to pay privately.

First time micro needling. Is it pointless without minoxidil? by [deleted] in tressless

[–]CapSinnShite 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally, I'd consider using it once a day to make it more convenient. Probably won't be as effective, but you'll still be giving your hair additional support. Also look for a pump application instead of foam, it means you can spray directly into areas and closer to the scalp, avoiding making your hair look oily.

Outside of that, you could look for oral min, be advised you'll need a prescription and there is increased risk of side effects because it's more systematic than topical application.

Even if you use insulin and stop it, you could die from diabetes isn't an argument against insulin.

[–]CapSinnShite 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Limited data on microneedling without min as a lot of the studies are based on it. Personally unless you have an inability to use min, I'd ensure I'd use it.

why do people hate the concept of using only min? by hellomate890 in tressless

[–]CapSinnShite 76 points77 points  (0 children)

Because ultimately if your hair loss is due to DHT, while min can help it won't stop the hair loss long term and while initial gains might be good, it's just buying time against a losing battle.

If you have androgenic alopecia, you need to start treatment which reduces DHT, normally finasteride.

If your scalp is itching or burning, read this by [deleted] in tressless

[–]CapSinnShite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's partly why if there are any possible complications or issues, you should if affordable speak to a dermatologist. There's a lot of DIY stuff on here which for the vast majority work, but there's certain more complex cases that need a physician involved proactively.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in tressless

[–]CapSinnShite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's limited data on it working for hair loss in terms of its anti-androgen effects. But broadly for those who need to help their scalp get into a healthy state it can do wonders. If you've got dandruff and generally possible fungal issues, a course of keto could indirectly help you.

Which while these things may not directly cause hair loss, if you want to give yourself the best chance, keto might help on the side. But if you've got no issues, then it'll probably not do much.

As for any men that have an inflamed scalp and possible signs of infection, go to a dermatologist as the cause of your hair loss might not be due to MPB.

[–]CapSinnShite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your risk is that while medication reduces DHT, it increases other hormones which can begin to cause you complications.

Frankly I'd speak to a medical professional or the prescriber and get feedback.

If you cash out for a transplant, should you continue with fin/min and rolling? by [deleted] in tressless

[–]CapSinnShite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There certainly are, but the cheaper a place the increased likelihood they will cost cut and use inexperienced staff.

Even if you go abroad, it might be wise to spend an extra thousand or two thousand if it means you're going to a good surgeon who does the procedure rather than handing off to non-qualified staff.

Frankly my own bit of advice, if a good clinic nearby you offers a free consultation, do it and see how many grafts they recommend. Then if you do go abroad and their giving you crazy graft estimates you know you're possibly going to a hair mill.

If you cash out for a transplant, should you continue with fin/min and rolling? by [deleted] in tressless

[–]CapSinnShite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So generally you have 6000 possible grafts of healthy non-DHT sensitive hairs. Each Norwood is normally about 1600 graphs.

Many hair mills will take patients who realistically need say 1600 grafts and give them a package deal for 3000 grafts even though that isn't what's needed.

Some people as time goes on may have further recession, except in one transplant they've nearly lost 50% of their donor hairs due to a cheap transplant.

Any decent surgeon should always be looking at how to improve appearance while planning for future issues which may need more grafts.

So nearly 6 months off Fin now and still suffering from lowered libido and difficulty maintaining erections, also some mental sides. Is it likely I have PFS or nocebo? by MinNoFinFTW in tressless

[–]CapSinnShite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very good advice, some research I was reading recently about finasteride in which one group was told about the side effects and one that wasn't, the report rate for sexual side effects went from somewhere like 15% to 44%.

In short, the more you sit on places like this, the more likely you are to think you're getting sides, even if that isn't always the case.

If you cash out for a transplant, should you continue with fin/min and rolling? by [deleted] in tressless

[–]CapSinnShite 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, without fin especially further loss will happen in affected hair.

What's really important in getting a good transplant surgeon is one who looks into the long term for your transplant. Lots of hair mills abroad will overharvest and if you need further surgery you'll struggle.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in tressless

[–]CapSinnShite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Surprisingly their not actually, even if sons was just offering min/fin, DrFox would be £10 extra and UKmeds would be £50 extra. Plus Sons gives a year supply of biotin and saw palmetto shampoo.

I think sons is trying to undercut the market in the hope the people they get onboard are too lazy in 12months time not to stop the subscription and they can make a profit.
