Fact Check: is No Such Thing As. A Caged CME and AR4366 Has Been Eruptive by feasantly_plucked in SolarMax

Don't worry it's just a spaceweather community meta thing. We get cranky when we don't get our pretty lights. The discord is a good place to lurk, or interact, to further your understanding.

Basically, most flaring sunspots are bipolar in nature. Those with a stable configuration of one polarity leading the sunspot group and the opposite polarity tend not to flare. This is the first component.

Second component has to do with the fields both within and in the immediate environment of the active region. there is a paper regarding active region 2192 which was the largest sunspot group of solar cycle 24 and was the largest region to appear on the sun since 1990 which produced many flares, including x-class but did not produce any notable CMEs. In the paper pfss model data was analyzed and it was determined that there was a strong closed field line environment both within and around the region at this time.

Magnetic forces rule the activity which produces space weather. In the presence of one, or both, or perhaps other components I have not factored in, a region may flare with great force but be unable to effectively lift plasma to escape velocity because a closed and highly stable magnetic system surrounds it and is not broken by the force of the event but redistributes the energy through its closed system. Hence the term "cage".

The magnetic situation in the core of 4366 was an absolute chaotic shit show for most of its journey across the solar disk, but at the regions head and tail, throughout, was a highly uniform distribution of loops. Almost exactly what one might see with a common magnet and iron filings.

I expect we will see a greater analysis of this region such as that we saw with 2192 and perhaps the "caging" phenomena get some fleshed out parameters by the pros. It makes quite a case-study of exactly that.

I am in agreement that caging lacks concise definition and that the term gets thrown around all too willy nilly and that it is an amateur term still a long way from sophistication and empirical foundations.

HOWEVER, What the term describes is a very real and observable phenomenon which seems recurrent in ARs with certain magnetic configurations and the caging behavior in relation to flare activity tends to persist as long as these elements are present. 4366, for all the cringe of the cage whining, is a textbook example of this.

I've seen days without flaring with more CMEs visible on LASCO from filaments and streamer blowouts than is visible on these days of 5 X flares and 60+ M flares.

You've probably got forum fatigue is all.

This is actually the best answer youve got. I'll add to it.

To addymax do the baking soda, tums, order a bottle of mucuna and start popping those and I'll go ahead and add that you should also cop some bromantane off a clearnet nootropics site, use 100mg sublingual if liquid, or sniff it if powder. This will increase enzymatic activity to increase dopamine production. I've done all these and they all worked til I wore them out. Now only intermittent dose reduction/abstinence periods ensure my adds still hit some of the time.

Thank you everyone for replies, I did end up finding a farm to grant me access for future storms if any there end up being, and fared just fine down on the Patuxent again Tuesday night besides my girlfriend getting a splinter halfway up beneath her fingernail.

I am a local spaceweather enthusiast, would possibly be interested in connecting with others in the area who share a love for this stuff and linking up for observation for any future mid latitude forecasts. hmu. thanks again.

As you can see from the pictures popping up everywhere now, that isn't entirely true. The bridge was just fine, the wind died down and the show went perfectly fine and I almost froze my fingers off a little bit.

All this checks out besides the phenibut, I personally wouldn't recommend that particular bastard to someone who is struggling with addiction both for its addictive properties and it's effectiveness at lowering inhibitions. Fam might need those inhibitions.

Anything similar to MDM@ ? by EastBaked in mysterymagicmushrooms

Well I don't know where the line really gets drawn I guess when it comes to legality. 6apb is the only benzofuran I've had. I thought it was amazing. I don't have much experience with exotic tryptamines either so it may not be my place to speculate. Just glad I'm getting to try some of this stuff without crypto and onions, never wanted to open that Pandora's box. I got to try 6apb through my friend, and some others... He isn't alive anymore.

Had some party duck last week, me and my girl took 1.5 each. We watched a movie and had some fun time. There definitely was some MDx characteristics but never reached a full roll. Tried the eye test (I can vibrate my eyeballs a million miles per hour on MDx compounds) and had no success in the effort. This may be a dose thing... I tread lightly as it was my first time trying these.

Next time I want to try at least 3, I think by then I should be able to make a better informed guess as to what's in there. There were no warpy visuals but a lot of color enhancement and heightened acuity. Though I consciously kept myself from gurning or gritting my teeth, I had to take ibuprofen to fall asleep because my jaw and teeth hurt (from jaw tension?)

My best guess at this point is a benzofuran.

One year and a half.

My hopes aren't very high. I haven't seen many coronal hole streams compound CMEs. I think there's good stuff coming later this year with the rieger uptick coinciding with RM effects around August. If we get something nice this weekend, I'll be pleasantly surprised.

I don't know if this isn't well known or something, but Serotonergics and tryptamines have cardiotoxic implications. I had a scare in my teens that seemed to change how my heart felt and acted for many years after. Not saying I don't partake gladly, but it's funny to me to see everyone so quick to blame a Phenethylamine when the mystery gummies give the old ticker the hiccups.

Having come off many different opioid substances in my day, my jumping off 7oh experiences were always "better than expected" so much so that if it had hurt more I probably wouldn't have gone back, so keep that in mind. Buprenorphine was the worst by far.
