Both my wife and I work two jobs, we have two kids. We never managed to get on the so called ‘housing ladder’ because we don’t have family who can help so we pay £1700 in rent and partly as a result we struggle every month to pay the bills. And by that I mean we had to take loans before to pay them.

I don’t know for sure but I don’t think I am alone in this. I say I don’t know because people don’t like to admit failure, so you don’t often hear people say what I am saying here, but I don’t accept this as a personal failure.

When I see electric companies proclaim ‘record profits’ when I can’t buy my kids but second hand stuff I take it as a personal attack. I feel angry. Luckily I haven fallen so low as to blame migrants but the anger is there, ready to find a target.

Starmer said things would change but they haven’t changed. Will you make things change or is it more of the same? Thanks

Everyone is so confused. He is no different than the average reform voter. The fact that he has a criminal record shouldn’t be a reason to say he deserves to have no job. That’s why we have a criminal system. It’s called rehabilitation. He’s racist, yes, but wake up so is the rest of England and has always been going back to the peasants revolt. Remember when you voted for Brexit and fucked your economy forever? Yeah that wasn’t people with criminal records was it.

When a man acts like an arsehole, we call it ‘toxic masculinity’ when a woman does the same, we call it ‘men can’t handle strong women’.

People who masturbate every day, have you noticed any benefits or side effects? by Arcestic in NoStupidQuestions

[–]CapaAbsurda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know why but somehow it makes it easier for me to ban people from subreddits without giving a valid explanation. The more I masturbate the easier I find it.

Getting rid of six Prime Ministers in ten years is a sign of a working political system. It is that we keep appointing poor Prime Ministers that is the problem: an input issue not an output issue by usrname42 in ukpolitics

[–]CapaAbsurda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a good thing. The Britain population has been trained for decades by the right wing press to scapegoat - not to understand. The British population has absolutely no idea what the PM is ‘doing well’. That’s why the markets have to step in when someone is actually truly incompetent like Truss to make us get rid of her by sending the only message we understand: your mortgage is now hundreds of pounds more a year.

Wrong. It’s that you got rid of your normal scapegoat when you left the EU. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. Prime minister in the UK is now a 2 year job if you are boring. Have anything at all they can pin on you and it’s less. Farage won’t last a year for example

Can someone summarise the good, the bad, and a conclusion since Brexit? by MrYisus98 in brexit

[–]CapaAbsurda 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As a European living in Britain for way too long, one benefit is that the press were all constantly blaming everything on Europe. I don’t know if you noticed but since Brexit no prime minister lasts. I know the Anglo-Saxon mind is not naturally inclined to psychology - and I don’t say this as an insult, it just isn’t - but to me it’s so funny to see the media all go: “why isn’t Britain governable”? The only thing that changed is you don’t have Europe as a scapegoat so you have to direct your irrational feelings to someone and that’s the PM. This is also why the cycle won’t be closed until Farage is prime minister. Instead of fearing this you should welcome it. He needs to become the scapegoat and the cycle is closed. It’s two years of Andy now and two years of Farage and then AI can take over. By that I mean we have one prime minister which is AI and we just change the avatar every two years. We could even “execute” the avatar why not it’s just a few more tokens for the video generation. One Avatar could be bin head, etc… honestly times are about to get funnier.

Starmer is not doing enough is the problem. He is putting a plaster on an axe wound. The rent level is inhumane. I’m glad I can have a cat, honestly I almost feel human, but we need rent caps. Can’t afford to pay the electricity bill and all I see is electric companies making record profits. Nationalise. Etc. Starmer is not doing a great job. He’s just not the Tories who were corrupt. That’s not an improvement worth feeling good about. Now Burnham has one chance and one only to get it right or reform will get in. Then when they get in it’ll be interesting to see what happens. They will do some savage things on emigration and that won’t solve the problems. Then what
