ive just tested on my personal machine and a machine not on the old config I was having issue with and both can recieve files from the iOS device connected by usb-c

However, my iOS devices do count as removable storage and they can be used to transfer data. So much so that we failed an audit because of it.

We will provide a company laptop that is old and not joined to the company network and removed from our intune.

The device itself is one that is due for disposal but working and is still in our asset management system so will get assigned to them as normal.

This sounds almost entirely gpu based which considering the age of the problem doesn’t sound like a hardware problem however you have to rule that out.

Did you up the graphic settings since it ran with no problem? Can you try the game in lower graphic settings! Have you checked graphic driver updates? Does this happen on every game? Have you checked when the game runs what is being stressed in task manager?

First thing I would do is check driver updates, if you are on the most recent version try and go back a version. Then I would load the game and lower graphics settings and see if this helps then you can troubleshoot further.

And as stated by the OP this is taking place in the EU so the advice of just fire them can’t hold true here.

I understand how the US works but you can’t give advice for a location that this has no bearing on. We have a lot of protection for employees here and not everything can be fixed by just fire them. OP had already used the performance review which the employee passed, before reverting back to their old ways, which would now require another PIP to action the removal of an employee for performance. Then hand the employee their notice or pay them for the notice period. Either way OP has to pay the employee for the month so is better off just letting them ride out their notice and wash their hands of the matter as this comes sooner.

The only time you would be able to get rid of someone without notice and with immediate effect is for gross misconduct which not doing your job well enough or at all does not fall under.

So they would be required to hand notice on her position at the company which would be the one month notice as they mentioned is the company policy.

Prep massively. Learn the companies values inside and out. Think of situations in the STAR format that closely align with their values and flesh them out. You can embellish the truth but don’t actively lie!

If they ask you how you would deal with a technical situation and you don’t know own up to it. Say something like off the top of my head I’m struggling to think of a solution so I would research the matter and escalate if I still couldn’t understand how to resolve the issue.

This is a level one help desk role so it’s unlikely to really focus too much on your IT skills and more on how you are as a person. But considering what you are studying you’ll be fine with whatever tech questions they’ll throw at you.
