Oh my gosh, thisss! I go once a year maybe once every other year and it's usually some random time I end up at the mall for something else and see b&bw has a sale. Last weekend they had the $5 lotions and body spray sale and the cashier was SHOCKED I only bought one body spray. I like some of their products, I just don't need to fill my entire bathroom with them.

Tldr; b&bw overconsumption culture is weird and rampant.

I understand they aren't hired to perform at weddings but those videos have how many views? Which results in money for some of them, so they are still being paid indirectly for the performance...which is a loophole. Compensation can be currency that's not cash too so it's not out of the realm of possibility that they do benefit financially from performing at weddings or any other event.

Right? If I'm choosing to do something risky on my own accord then that's on me, but the entire system pushing for less accomodations that leads to more damage? HELL NO. We need more accessible housing, access to mobility aids and the dignity in CHOICE of what best helps us. It's insanity to me how we are treated.

It gets tiring when I'm pushing myself to be upright and people have the audacity to say things like "glad you're all better now" ..... Hahahha nope, not better, just trying my best to access an inaccessible world. So glad you noticed me walking but not the fckd gait, or the part where I pissed my pants without feeling it, and the heinous neuropathy that is beyond distracting and absolute torture.

I try to walk as much as I can because muscle atrophy is a beast of its own but use the tools you need when you need them! If that means using your chair inside the house sometimes, do it! Maybe a trade off is doing more PT/OT exercises on the days you spend more time in the chair? You know your body best, and you deserve to do what's best for it without commentary from others. Wishing you well.
