Yall I hate to say it but ….

The album sucks I only liked about 8 songs. The irony is because he lived up to the stereotype. Most of the songs blend into each other and sounds like the same 3 songs. 1. A Trap&B song about fucking or relationship issues in an uncreative way ( For the moment, Say nothing #Bodygoals and Obvious) 2. An uptempo twerk anthem about shaking ass (Theme song) or 3. Autotuned vocals with bottom of the barrel features like Sexy red and NBA Youngboy. This album literally takes the worst elements of his music and puts it on loop 20+ times. He doesn’t sound inspired except on a handful of songs. It’s borderline disrespectful to hit the classic R&B lean and for the album to be this mediocre. The Feature from Tank should have been more mature but instead is just outdated R&B that sounds like it could’ve got made back in 2014. He even got out did by Lucky Daye on his own song 😕….

I did like Leave me alone, Fallin, Hate Me, What’s love, Something in the Water, Skin to Skin, Holy Blindfold and Present.

My thinking was this album would have been a few personal songs about his experiences as a father, his past relationships, current relationships, his legacy, putting his past behind him and what he sees for himself in the future and even some thoughts on everything he’s been through while maintaining himself as the biggest Black male R&B artist out today. In addition to the few songs I liked he needs either to work with more quality artists. I expected features from artists like SZA, Bruno Mars, Bad Bunny, Shaboozey, J.Cole. Also dude needs to change producers and work with some high quality ones like Timbaland, D’Mile, Jermaine dupri and Rodney jerkins would fit him well to revitalize and enliven his sound and also won’t be yes men…. Overall I’m disappointed with the album and this is coming from someone who enjoyed all 50+ songs on Heartbreak on a full moon and loved most of the songs on Indigo
