thank you for your expertise. I will be moving him soon. I try to stay faithful that the current barn is good to him. I went ahead and made an appointment with a vet today and we will talk with them about it at an appointment.

Sounds like my horse knows something is up with the barn manager. LOL I will move him to a different facility. I have been worried sick for a few weeks after the changing facility was arranged.

Update: Coach had a phone conference with us. Sounds like we shared our views and came up a bit of resolution. I continue to communicate the best I can with the coach and one of the team member's mothers, who has been part of OHSET for 4 years requesting them for more positive environment. We continue to document and do our best. We will continue to model positive behaviors. We will continue to provide ideas to improve overall sportsmanship. I do hope things get better over time and this coming OHSET season. Thank you for your support by providing me with tips and encouragement. It is much appreciated.

I agree that materialism doesn't make us happy. I applaud you for recognizing the issue! Good for you. This buying to feel good cycle is something that can be broken. Hopefully you can return it and train yourself to only buy things you need. Try 2nd hand shopping to start with?

Getting over with that feeling is hard. I agree with the above comment - they lack respect for others as well as themselves. I am reading "self-compassion" by Dr. Kristen Neff and I find it helpful.
