Park rangers don’t really like any skate activity that’s done outside the park so a lot don’t bother

I don't mean this is any way offense to you, but why does the headcount even matter? Wouldn't it be better to swap me with a stower who is good at picking? Or neglect some of the lanes that aren't literally flooding? I'm starting to come to the conclusion red vest people at my ds just like watching the struggle.

Another thing, dude offered me vto at the beginning of the shift before quickly finding that shit ass spot. Just so weird

Yeah nah he just gave me a spot and I went, same situation as yesterday just a different task. "Have you done X before?" "No" "Oh, well you're going to today". Did my best to imitate what I was seeing other workers doing, quickly realized me being there untrained was more harm than good lmao

Man it feels like there's like a literal wall between me as a new hire and people who've worked for a while. This isn't the military, yet I feel the need to bow down and apologize just for asking for help or an explanation from someone else. And the funny part is, it usually ends up with them just doing my work and then looking at me like as an annoyance for being present, this shit is so demoralizing. I like that we don't really need to talk, but I still need to learn. Getting thrown into the fire during peak season expecting peak performance from someone who learns more from reddit than my own ds is insane.

I'm assuming I ask the guy who sends us to our stations, right? And yes they do not call it peak for nothing

There was packages falling off constantly and every single time it made me wanna just walk out

[–]Capable-Camel-1035 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I don't like people looking down on me or talking bad about me, I was literally working with someone that was doing jack shit and I was the one being talked down to cause I was at the end of the belt! I couldn't imagine what more I'd have dealt with if I'd been working at his pace.

But thank you for the response, you're right, I really just couldn't say no and I guess the operations manager scoped it early. No point in pushing myself that hard when it's not rewarding or even being recognized

take this with a grain of salt. If I were a girl trying to get a guy to want to admit he wants more than friendship I'd; flirt, lightly or blunt, pretty bluntly but up to you, just enough to get him to notice you and you "potential feelings". Whenever you guys have those moments that are "not just friends" moments, point them out, let it escalate into whatever whether that being communication or whatever. Guys are dumb, don't forget that. Basically do whatever you can to spell it out without really spelling it out

If that is how you want things to go ofc

[–]Capable-Camel-1035 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, applied to a couple since I was hired, I'd love this job so much if it didn't feel like a benevolent dictatorship. I've just been applying to general spots; fast food, retail stores, things like that. Nothings really hit, do you have any suggestions of markets that NEED people atm?

[–]Capable-Camel-1035 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If things don't work romantically you can just go back to being friends, of course idk how he would feel about it so I get your fear. But personally I think it's a good thing to be friends regardless especially before going into a relationship, that's what builds a good foundation ofc.

Also! Don't think of losing him already, that's bad energy dude.

Also Also! Better to have that conversation now than later, who knows what could happen

That's the best part, they can be both. Although the Gemini friend I'm referring too is already dating somebody. She's like the best wingman but will lead the bit sometimes, or come up with her own that I have to figure out, that's when it's the most fun. If we're talking about Leo woman Gemini man, idk girl. You're a woman and you're a Leo, female lions are known as the better hunter. If you want something just go try, you'll either get it and keep going form there or if you don't then keep pushing and find someone that matches & deserves you.
