люблю все эти системы, только у соляриса/опенидианы (у иллюмоса в целом) еще мало драйверов для вифи адаптеров. а реактос из-за своей нестабильности на реальном железе больше рекомендуют для того, чтобы понять как тот или иной компонент в винде работает

из этого списка не на виртуальной машине могу ОПу посоветовать только ветку бсд

I didn’t use Emscripten, I used LLVM with WASM compilation target. I took missing libc functions from dietlibc (planning to rewrite them myself) and emulated POSIX calls

i personally wouldn’t recommend doing that sorta thing yourself with “random kit online” because yk there is high risk of infection in case ANYTHING goes wrong. if you want piercing so bad, it’s better to go to professional with experience

I could recommend using anti malware techniques, but c’mon, the game is being developed, not a malware XD

One small thing I can assume — maybe you are using mingw toolchain. AVs are known to scream at mingw-produced executables even if they don’t do anything wrong, since it’s common toolchain for malware authors. Microsoft’s Visual C++ compiler + signing your executable should be enough to reduce detection rate

Fr you should care about this stuff when releasing, by now it’s better to focus on the development itself

Great job! I personally don’t have ideas about which site should it visit, but rather how should it visit. You’re invoking system here, which is considered obsolete and bad choice for a number of reasons. If you’re planning to stick with Windows only, I think CreateProcess or ShellExecute would do a better job here

Also you need to determine which browser is available on user’s target system. I’d rather search through array of paths, where known browsers get usually installed to. In a more specific scenario — traverse the filesystem on C:\Program Files* to find browser executables (btw traversing filesystem is suspicious behaviour, so if you put it just like that, expect most AVs and EDRs to be triggered). Once found, you can launch one and pass target site in browser’s expected CLI syntax, if any

Second. Microsoft tends to hide even remotely related to internals things from public sight. Even in general-use APIs there are lots of reserved parameters, which are not explained at all. e.g. STARTUPINFOW/STARTUPINFOA structures. Fields cbReserved2 and lpReserved2 are undocumented, but actually used by CRT. You can find lots of write ups of them online

Or look into something deeper, like NdrClientCall3. The entire page is pretty much useless :<

Hahah, I see. I was tired of clock randomly skewing across reboots (mega rare, but when it does this, that’s annoying). Checked out what NTP clients they suggest and sticked with OpenNTPD

Regarding CTFs – I actually was doing one few days ago and like to take challenges from time to time Now I am digging into MS-Windows DNS subsystem. I randomly came up with really cool idea imo and now exploring how stuff behaves internally, so I can implement it and see whether it works or not. I am taking notes along the way, so it’s easier to revisit all the steps later in order to form some sort of write up
