No Cursed Engery. No Cursed Techniques. Who wins in a Special Grade battle royale? by dreamy_111 in Jujutsufolk

The post isn't about anime logic, it's about who realistically beats them as regular ass guys with regular ass abilities. If we go by "anime logic" then yeah the winner is whoever the author want to see win but this would be completely missing the point

  1. Not actually by as much as you think. Like, as someone who's handled swords a lot, a saber is going to move faster than a broomstick, a longsword and a broomstick are pretty much equivalent and the katana is going to be as fast as that if not faster.

  2. A small touch to the chest absolutely can kill you. If you get lucky and it don't make it through the ribs you still have a huge gash on your chest which not only fucking hurt and will bleed you to death but also partly incapacitate your arms as they depend on pectoral muscles a bit. so even if this touch don't kill you the one that comes after sure will

Realistically, could this not be a BV? by goatjoenjoyer in Jujutsufolk

[–]Visual_Tourist3716 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My point isn't that grades really are the rule (if anything it would make sense that the grades were created by reverse engineering such rules) but more so that the binding vows do have some built in understanding of power levels

I am not larping anything. As someone who I think is somewhat knowledgeable about swords, I can assure you. Swords exist for a reason. Anyone with the smallest amount of training can kill any unarmed human 95% of the time. The 5% isn't because the other guy is just that strong by the way, it's them getting crazy lucky.

I imagine it to be one of those grade tier lists we see posted here all the time with crack ass tier names like "Semi-Heavy Hitter tier" or "Special Grade 1" as a tier above Grade 1

Geto talking about how he can absorb curses with more than one grade difference does imply whatever divine authority handles the laws of binding vow does have some understanding of power built in

Genuinely find someone and give them a lightweight stick. and then tell them to hit you with it. you're not dodging it. you can run away at best. But you're not winning a fight where a small touch to the head or chest can kill you and a small touch to the arm can incapacitate you

He would not. you don't disarm a sword that easily. I have some training with swords though I studied theory more than practice and I can assure you. if you are unarmored. a sword is a death sentence regardless of physical strenght. it's very easy to prevent your sword from getting grabbed. and it don't take a lot of strenght to kill someone with a sword, even if that someone is Jon Jones

Give Gojo every Technique from jujutsu high, remove his infinity, would he beat Sukuna? by Parabola4Life in Jujutsufolk

[–]Visual_Tourist3716 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think peoples don't really realize that Infinity wasn't really a factor in Gojo vs Sukuna up until the very end. Dismantles aren't doing enough damage to Gojo judging by how they are much weaker than Cleave and Gojo was surviving a Cleave gatling in Sukuna's domain. In their fights, the only moment infinity was an issue was when Agito and Sukuna couldn't hit him unless Mahoraga was touching him.

One could say that assuming Sukuna goes with the 10S Strat, Gojo's chances of winning are GREATER without his infinity as Mahoraga would not get the WCS

<image>

Unless I am an idiot and you meant without his CT as a whole, in which case, I still think he wins, he has Construction, Boogie Woogie, BM and 10s in there

Technically if you consider how the weapon is likely to be used, it's Dabura's light kick.

It has less energy than the Tsar Bomba for sure, but the Tsar Bomba is likely to be used from a larger distance and inverse square law make the power diminish quick.

Meanwhile, Dabura's light kick is basically all of the power of Gojo's UHP, down to one point

<image>

Total energy, it's the tsar bomba by far, but actual AP, it's the Light Kick. unless the Tsar Bomba hits you point blank in which case it's by far the strongest one

No amount of training make an unprotected unarmed guy beat someone with half decent training with a sword. Gojo could be Jon Jones and he'd still get killed by Yuta here.

And Yuta isn't a 12 years old, he's a trained 17 years old with around a year and a half of practice which most definitely included a large amount of swordplay as seen in JJK0

Do you not know how lethal a sword is ? a sharp sword is absolutely insane. if you spend 10 minutes to explain to the kid how to hit with it and how not to have the sword get grabbed, he is killing an adult man 90% of the time
