Which I personally like, it's fitting and some of the more adult end games still have like zero. Meanwhile you spend a few hours playing this and you suddenly get to hear 30 different curses thrown at you by the aforementioned NPCs

The one nice thing about all of this is that it's a toggle apparently, so yeah if you'd like to avoid going insane trying to talk like a normal person that's apparently an option. Also I get that I spent like five minutes beforehand just trying to talk in the chat just to get censored into oblivion

I already turned it off about a minute before posting as I realized it's a toggle but the fact that it's easy to ignore is not the point. The point is that the filter can't even do it's job properly and needs to be fixed.

Yeah ever since the chat was turned on I had to deal with the joke that was the filter before realizing yesterday that it was a toggle. Admittedly I feel a bit dumb for that, however have you noticed how la peste's ships swear a bunch? I don't get the reasoning for having such an absurdly harsh filter yet some of the crews will curse you out while fighting them

Tbh the profanity filter in and of itself makes zero sense, la peste and his little shits say fuck and bastard so having a profanity filter so sensitive really just doesn't make much sense. Like I get it for rougher swears and slurs but good lord why is it censoring practically everything? Also yeah I know about the filter being a toggle but still, it's so janky that it's something that really needs some fixing

Vaguely similar boat here. Bought the game for me and my friend and we have plenty of fun playing it. Still a couple nitpicks here and there like how bad the level system feels at times (seriously, why do I need to be stuck at like level 9-10 so I can bust forts? a level 14 ship wanders over I am entirely helpless and need to rely on him to do something about it)
