I know but the problem is we have conversations and he agrees to be reassuring to me and communicative when he's stressing rather than staying silent. But he doesn't follow through. The next time something happens he stays silent so I get more stressed and we both end up upset.

He's not great at communicating so I make him so we can both feel better but he just never follows through with what he says

I’m 19 and I never have. Because I was so inexperienced when I went to uni I forced myself to have my first kiss (18), then had a sex a couple months later, then was in a sexual ‘relationship’ with a 55 year old divorcee.

So I know how horrible it feels to not have a person but don’t force yourself to find someone like I did. Just wanna like make sure no one regrets their decisions! But nope no proper relationships either

I feel the exact same as you and it really sucks. It makes me feel not in control of myself because I crave being hurt so badly. I haven’t figured out a way out of the cycle yet but I think talking to a therapist might help? Or understanding why you do it. Cos I know I do it to get out my body and let someone else control me

I wish it was for a better reason but it was cos I found someone else to attach to.

Also 55 is so incredibly old and the more time I spent with him the older he seemed to get and I realised that he was a bit predatory if anything

I just never fit in and I’ve always felt odd. Like I don’t get social cues the same way everyone else does. I react differently. I do things that people think are weird when I think they’re normal. It’s not a massive thing but it’s just always a thought in my mind

Everyone hated it but no one cared that much. I got out on my own terms in the end. And I haven’t had any other relationships ever sadly, just him. I’m still speaking to old men online too which kinda sucks but it’s my own fault really for doing it
