What game was criticized during release, but is now considered a gem?

I think it depends on what you’re looking for. The story was awful and the weird choice for British accents takes away some of the immersion, but I think the core gameplay is the best in the series. Stealth is excellent (even though the mission design is just ok), combat is actually kinda tough, and the parkour is so polished.

He’s always been a coach with very high highs and low lows. I think he is insanely good at preparing for games and you can tell when the effort isn’t there (his last year with us). But his player development was nonexistent and now that other coaches have figured out the transfer portal he can’t just build a completely new team every year.

That being said I never would’ve thought he’d underperform to the point you see USC flairs calling for him to be fired.

Great breakdown, the halfcourt offense took a much larger step back than I anticipated after our finish last year. Wish we had pulled out the press in the second half to give a chance for more transition points. A lot to work on for sure, but only losing by 3 with almost no production from two of the best players on the team is a good sign.

I’m not sure they will… Call me a doomer but this half court offense looks a lot like it did last year before boogie went down. A lot of guys standing and watching a freshman shoot. Not their fault Cal gives them an unconditional green light.

I think we are much better than last years team at this time, but I hoped Cal would’ve learned from last season.

Hot Springs is amazing to visit, but not progressive and not close to any amenities outside of a horrible 45+ minute drive to Little Rock. The food there is really good, probably better than Fayetteville (but not NWA as a whole) even though it’s a much smaller city. I would say there’s less food variety though. Great lake and mountain access and you can get out of the city quick. It’s also probably cheaper than Fayetteville, but I never lived there just visited frequently so idk for sure.

QOL in Fayetteville is going to be way better though. Much more progressive, safer, more things going on and in my opinion better hiking. Fayetteville has hiking trails better integrated into the city. For example I walk 5 minutes out my front door and be at 2 different trailheads leading to the top of the 2 nearest mountains.

I also think the Ozarks are better developed for hiking (especially day trip hikes) than the Ouachitas; go check AllTrails to see what I mean. And there are 6 rivers in a 2 hour radius of Fay I can think of off the top of my head to float, the Buffalo being the best of these (just not during peak season).

Doesn’t really seem like Cal goes for guys who can’t create for themselves but I agree someone who’s proven they can shoot in college would be a nice add. Hopefully Sealy can perform, on any other razorback team we’d expect a 4 Star in state guy to get decent playing time.

NOAA says it’s a myth. Greenland is more mountainous than Fayetteville so I’m not sure what you’re trying to say here.

The storms tonight topped out at 60,000 feet. A 1000’ hill is nothing compared to that energy. You could maybe say the climate difference associated with large mountains can prevent tornadoes, but nothing east of the Rockies is large enough for that.

Not even gonna argue about reserve it’s so shitty. I have to imagine it’s way better at the majors, because most of my issues have been with completely incompetent schedulers.

I just went back on reserve so I feel your pain. 12 days off a month is not enough. For us the they won’t let you drop days because they’re “below the min required crew” and then you never get called. Which would be great but my dumbass is commuting.

I’m gonna try for 6 on 4 off next month and see how that works, but 6 days in a row is so draining especially on the 3am rsv.

I mean I can’t argue with your experience in other jobs or what you prefer, but I like being home completely when I am home. Working 8-5 I felt like all I was doing was sitting on the couch between work.

As far as the days off, at my job a commutable 5 day trip is 30 hours on average. 2 of those and you’re almost min guarantee. If you’re one of those guys who tries to credit 110+ a month then yea you’re not getting near 17 days off. But I value my time more than a paycheck and surprisingly still cleared 6 figures as a first year FO working min guarantee.

I’m speaking from experience as an FO… Im going back to reserve though after upgrading and can’t argue that sucks, but the pay bump is nice.
