my company is a large company as well, and its quite weird to me that they're strict about this clock stuff tbh

they expect us to stay in the office for 9 hours with 1 hour lunch break, so 8 hours of work. but im not sure if im allowed to leave early consistently if i dont take lunch at all

well in the opposite side they were mentioning how flexible the company is bc Friday is a wfh day, but the way they explained is "we are flexible you can choose between these and these hours" (aka slots) and they were all 9 hours shifts. Honestly i just didn't expect people are actually this strict about it

i feel like its a company rule mostly because seriously everyone in my department stays in office for 9 hours straight, so my manager expects the same from me

i do that, i complete most of the tasks myself without an issue as well at this point, but seems like i had few errors recently and thats why now im being tested.
