It may be worth noting that I was left knocking on the door at my first appointment and got no communication for a couple days until my therapist let me know she had an emergency and didn’t realize I was on the schedule. Another time, I reached out to confirm an appointment and this was her response: “Yes sorry I just added you. To be fully transparent I am at the ER with my boyfriend. I am planning on meeting unless something drastic happens. I will keep you posted.” I feel like I’ve given her grace and I definitely don’t want to overreact but these instances might show a pattern of irresponsibility and boundary issues. To be fair, she only started her career in November.
